Saddest parts of the anime?

For me it was when the lead antagonist broke down and cried out, "Brandon I'm sorry!" before sobbing uncontrollably.

"You're from the 60s! Peace love dope! Back, back to the 60s! No place for you in the future!"

reply

One of the saddest parts for me was when Brandon returned to his friends' house to find them killed by Lee. Brandon showed a lot of emotion during that scene and those two men didn't deserve to die the way they did.

Another honorable mention is Bear's last moments when he's thinking about his daughter just before he dies.

I'll go with Bear's part as mentioned above, not only is it sad but it also shows in short how close he and Sheri (sp?) actually were.

One day I'll have you experience the same thing I did.I will erase everything related to you - Lucy

I agree with the ones listed, and would like to add all of Brandon and Harry's buddies getting mowed down in the beginning and Harry killing Brandon.

Mine was when Bear couldn't kill his best friend that episode was the most saddest for me

reply

Seeing Brandon cry as he told Harry how he would make the same choice (Harry over the mafia) with no regrets. The whole time we've seen him as this tough guy who didn't say or show much. Then this scene happens

"My future is dead ... just like me" - Beyond the Grave aka Brandon Heat

reply

there are a lot of sad parts... just like the Blood War ending scene where they show you how the war has scarred them into killing machines

reply

The whole last episode was sad. So powerful.

reply

Harry realizing that brandon never (could) betray(ed) him, and breaking down... That was one of the most powerful scenes i've ever seen.

reply

When Brandon rejected Maria.

Parents sacrificing everything for their childern

1. When Bear Walken's friend was killed by Brandon - his life flashes past his eyes and the last word he said was "Eddie" (his son) *cry*

2. When Bear Walken is about to die, all he sees is his daughter Sheri *sob*

3. When Harry is driving in his car with the dead Sheri next to him, and a tear slides down his cheek *sob sob* he really loved her despite his womanizing past.

4. Just before the end when Brandon said to Harry I choose you over the Syndicate *bawl*

This was a really really good series, one of the most touching I've seen in a very long time.

I think it was when Brandon gave up on Maria. He loved her, but felt he wa not good enough (being a hitman and all) and that she deserved stability big daddy could offer.

Also, when doctor dies, I really wanted him to survive...
