Roadside Bouquets - the Taxi driver

What was that last bit with the taxi driver all about? The pretty young girl in the back, the dented and bloody cab? Ans how he kept going on about hookers and pretty girls the first time.

Anyone?

It had me scratching my head a bit. I'm guessing the inference with the damaged headlight and bloodstains is that he could have possibly been the driver of the car that finally killed Sash. And his sleazy conversation further suggests that he lumped all young women hitching lifts in the "ladies of the night" category and therefore wouldn't have given a damn if he had hit her or not, reasoning to himself that she got what she deserved. And to develop this theme he would have also felt that it would be best not to report the incident as it could have negative consequences on his livelihood. So I suppose that assuming the young girl in the back was really his daughter then her inclusion suggested a horrible irony, that this is a man who had possibly killed someone else's daughter. However if this was the case it was all a bit strained.

The taxidriver was the one who killed Sash. The silver car, dents and blood.

I agree with Garp-26.
Not sure about the whole prostitute thing, but it could be that he saw them as lesser humans and therefor didn't help her/reported that he hit her.

So he keeps driving past the spot where he killed a girl - as he must know from the news, and, well, the Roadside Bouquets - with her blood on his car and an obvious dent in it? The blood looked pretty - too? - fresh, and it seemed that his being there to give Alison a ride more than once "meant" something, though I don't know what, and she didn't seem to make anything of it. I thought/was hoping they'd come to closure on this (IMO) mystery in the second episode, but no.
