Roadside Bouqets *SPOILERS

One thing that bugs me about this episode is after they leave the nightclub. How would they not know they are dead already? When hes trying to get the guys attention fine (says 'hey mate' but doesn't respond) but are you telling me that they just magically ordered drinks by themselves!?

I'm pretty sure they didn't just stray into the nightclub and not order anything. Would seem really weird for them to just go and sit in there talking about their dead friend for hours (or however long they were there)and wonder why no-one else would talk or interact with them.

That aside very good episode with a good twist at the end but just hampered by that annoyance. Any else agree?

I just watched it tonight, was totally impressed with the show and the episode, and was (and am) fully onboard - and can't wait to see the subsequent episodes! But, at the end of the episode, when I realized what all had actually been happening, I, too, found myself wondering, "So, they didn't order any drinks in the nightclub? And, if they did, how did they physically get them, if no one could see or hear them place their orders?" So, you are not alone.

I wondered if they just happened to sit at a table that was previously occupied. The club was busy and maybe the staff hadn't gotten around to bus the table yet? It took a second viewing for me to realize they were wearing the same clothes, etc. throughout the entire episode. Even more chilling for me was seeing the dented bumper of the taxi driver at the end of the episode. I hadn't caught that the first time around - just so much to process after watching it once, I had to re-watch it to see it the second time.

"Everything they do is so dramatic and flamboyant. It just makes me want to set myself on fire!"

Did anyone notice that Liam had angel wings embroidered onto the back of his jacket?

The thing that didn't work for me is the timing. How long are the kids supposed to have been in limbo? The accident happened long enough ago that the newspaper account of it has been archived on film. But there is still police tape around the scene and the hit-and-run driver hasn't even washed the blood off his car.

At the university where I worked, in pre-computer days - yikes, I'm dating myself! - the Registrar's Office delivered updated student schedules to us (in the college deans' offices) a few times per semester, and final semester grades overnight after posting, on microfiche. Our readers looked very much like the one Alison was using.

Throughout the episode I kept thinking of The Sixth Sense - no spoilers! - in which it's said that dead people "only see what they want to see." In this case, they apparently see what they expect to see, as well, such as their reflections in a mirror. The girl says at one point that she doesn't "know what (she's) doing half the time," and wishes she "could" drink - but doesn't question why she can't? - so she "could sleep." As Alison tells them later, they've been in denial. And it's said that spirits don't experience time as we do.

There were bottles and half-filled glasses on the table at the club they assumed were theirs, it seems; no doubt just not yet bussed, as BurgGurl noted. But they don't drink anything, in any case. Are you guys in the UK? Cuz in the US, it wouldn't be all that unusual for police tape to be left behind in an out-of-the-way area. : /

Yes, what was the deal with Alison's personal taxi, complete with fresh-looking bloodstain, and the dent unrepaired? It seems that the driver would assume or worry that the police would figure out that Sash had been hit by a
car ("CSI," as Darren notes) and take care of the glaring evidence - a "normal" driver, that is. I thought maybe this season the episodes wouldn't be stand-alone, but would continue storylines - I hoped, at least, that the second one would address this issue!

You're assuming the Alison's taxi driver was still alive... :o
