Anyone else think Lotso is a bit too over the top?

I get it. He's a bad guy who's going to do bad things.

But damn...this bear was so evil it's not even funny. I think what makes him worse is that he has a really tragic backstory, so you think he might have a change of heart. But nope...he doesn't even have a change of heart and leaves Woody and the gang to die in the incinerator.

Maybe it would've been forced to give him a change of heart, but I feel like he could've been toned down a bit. He felt so over the top. Anyone else agree?
