Julianne Moore was just WOW...

I'd say this is arguably the worst performance of her career. Granted she was given a character with 0 development, but that's no excuse to play it so badly. She goes from Children of Men to this. That is so laughable.

I completely agree. She's usually fantastic but just walked through this being totally one note.

I hate to say it, but I agree: she's right on the top of my list of favorite actors/ actresses, but in this film, she did not deliver.

She once explained in an interview that she loved drama/ art house films more, but they don't pay the rent and that's why she does blockbusters from time to time; but this film must have been her absolute worst. She was better in Laws of Attraction, which I found not too good, but she's given a chance to display some comic talent there.
(In The Lost World: Jurassic Park she wasn't too bad; first film I saw her in. Bit of a shame her character was changed so much - in the book she's more clever and stronger, taking the lead when needed. The role would have been more fit for Moore, had they kept to the original character a bit more.)

I understand she's playing an entirely different character here, but she's miles from her performance in Hannibal, as FBI agent Clarice Starling.

Having said all that, it was good to see her in this film, and having picked it up for 1,66 Euros, it's a bargain to waste a few hours with.

A flood's not the answer, people just float.

Julianne Moore is one of my favourite actresses. You might think this was bad or wtf, it doesnt bother me, heck id buy a Boll movie if she was in it just because shes in it.
She has done so many great things all i need is her name on the poster or DVD case and its enough for me. In my book, she can never go wrong.
Love that woman.

LOL, Moore wasn't THAT bad at all. But I agree, she's capable of doing much more in a film. I know someone that thought she was boring in Chloe & Hannibal, I thought she was quite good in those films. So I guess you can't please everyone.

Indeed - playing this tiresome one dimensional hard nosed agent. They way she ungraciously seized the rifle of the sniper to show how great a shot she was was ridiculous!

completely phoned it in, she was just reciting her lines and looked like she wanted to get the hell out of there ASAP
