FINALLY came from Netflix...

...and we watched it last night. What can I say. Incredible.

The performances were all solid, at worst. At best, some of the most excruciating moments I have witnessed onscreen (and that is meant in a complimentary fashion).

I found the unique editing to be a powerful device. At first, it was difficult, because we are not accustomed to films like this. It makes us uncomfortable to witness, which I think explains some of the negativity about the device. I found it made each scene much more intense because we got 100% focus on more than one thing. Rather than 100% of "the scene" we got multiple images, each requiring our attention. This was an exhausting experience, but the subject matter WAS exhausting, so it dovetailed quite nicely.

The performances from all of the actors was perfect. I especially enjoyed Teen Katiebird.

Overall, OUTstanding stuff! Without mavericks pushing the envelope, we're going to be stuck with warmed over PG-13 J-Horror ripoffs...and we're tired of that crap.

Stay innovative!

I'll have to say the movie was pretty crazy. I'd say it's a cross between Ed Gein and May. Katie Bird was just weird and very sick. The camera angles were annoying at first, then I got use to it. Very weird movie, I also rented this from Netflix. They have the best selection of weird horror movies :)
