Okay, I'm getting really tired of this.

I understand that some people didn't like this movie compared to the Swedish version. But this wasn't a remake. It was seen as a chance to do something new with a film with a similar premise. I don't see how that's blasphemy. Sure, some people preferred the Swedish version, and that's alright. But that doesn't mean you necessarily hate this version. If you do, then keep your hate to yourselves. It's no use spreading offensive comments and thread to people who actually liked this version more. And when I say that, I don't mean I absolutely HATED the original. It means I connected more with this version. Is that such a damn crime?

And to people arguing that Annie couldn't have turned from Devil to Angel so easily, you have to take into account the fact that she wasn't evil in the first place. In the scenes with her brother, you can clearly see there's more to her than the tough exterior. She does have anger issues, leading her to hurt Nick, but that's not a sin, is it? She made a mistake because she was misinformed. Almost everyone in her life--boyfriend, parents, friends--has betrayed her in some way. It's understandable that she would be a little angry. Nick's almost-death just let's her see how wrong she was. And helping him in the end is her way of repenting.

And to those who say Nick is just a whiny rich kid... His father died when he was very young. He was raised by a mother who cared more about social status than raising him properly. And she doesn't make any effort to connect with him until the incident. Not to mention the fact that she doesn't want him to pursue his writing career, even though it's one of the few things that makes him happy since his father died. And he doesn't exactly go around whining about his life to every person who passes him on the street.

So there. A logical defense of this version. Both were great. All the people who shove their hatred of this one down our throats, go *beep* yourselves. :)

This is not a fan page, it's a discussion board. And people are allowed to post their opinions whether they're negative or positive. If that bothers you, IMDb is clearly not the message board for you.

Is it a sin to have anger issues? I don't know but attempted murder is.And it's also a crime. Also she was a Thief and a liar. Good for you if you were entertained by this movie, but that character was a criminal, a billy and her soft spot for her brother did not redeem her in my view. And she wore a stupid stocking hat.

True, and how many Americans, or Canadians, or our friends south of the border are even AWARE of the Swedish version.
