Fav unintentional hilarious moment...?(Possible spoilers)

Well I tried to like this movie, but the last 15 minutes made that impossible. I did like the begginning and some of the middle, I tried to ignore that Sid guy's horrible acting. But there was a part in the middle of the movie where they go to the graves to dig up the corpses and then the 3 corpses come to life and start attacking them...well the girl getting pulled into the grave was a little eerie, but I laughed hysterically when the cheap skeleton puppet started wrestling with the Harris character, I liked that part tho because of how cheezy it was. What was your favorite cheezy moment?

reply

At the end, when they bury the last head and get Harris out of the grave. Vincent said "Can someone take me to a hospital?" I started laughing so hard; his voice sounded so calm. I really thought the creators of the film meant for that part to be funny. Overall I really liked the film.

I agree it was good till the end and then it got really cheesy. It was ok becuase it was funny even though it wasn't meant to be. Like the axe murdered floating along missing her tagets so bad. She was the woarst axe murder I have ever seen clumsy to.

There were several funny parts. The funniest for me was the hospital scene when the wife saw the bloody body & she was screaming. Afterwards, the look her husband gave her like she was nuts. And the looks of the nurses. That just cracked me up. I laughed so hard. Because the wife really did look crazy.

Also when the french guy wanted them to come into the house and the husband said something like "F that!"

But I think these scenes were meant to be funny, because a lot of people were laghing at these scenes too. The movie was well done with great laughs but didn't need the CGI in the end.

i thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and the rest of the movies "to die for" but the ending of this movie was really corny.

i really liked the rapist, he was incredibly creepy looking, the throat being slit was so authentic i was quite chilled, and the ending when the guy says, "I need an ambulence." I nearly pissed myself laughing :-D

reply

I really liked this movie a lot, although the ending was pretty corny. Just seeing that huge CGI head made me laugh my ass off. This movie actually scared me. Well, at least until the end. I haven't been scared by a film in a really long time. Probably since It, and that was years and years ago. I really liked the rapist as well. As far as the bad acting, I guess I am just used to it as I didn't really notice it being that bad. But I watch a ton of independent and direct to video horror, so I see a lot of bad acting.

I also vote for the big cgi head!!!!

reply

Any of the shots of the Axe murderess "floating" around - looked like she was standing on a dolly being wheeled through the room - why they had her just standing motionless is beyond me. Looked absolutely retarded!

reply

i liked the throat slitting scene until she got up and there was like a drop of blood on her shirt. do you know how much blood comes out of you when your jugular is severed? not that i know personally (lol) but i've taken enough bio classes to get the slight feeling they ran out of "fake blood" money.

The excuse that they ran out of money for it is really no excuse. Most commercial fake blood is based on corn syrup and food coloring, with some other ingredients. We choose to make our own, adding a secret ingredient (chocolate syrup) for a little opacity. Simply take corn syrup, slowly stir in red until you get close, add blue a little at a time until you like the look, then slowly drizzle and mix chocolate syrup until you like the look. Actually, measure drop by drop as you're making it; once you get a look you like, save the recipe so you can recreate it. You can make different thickness and colored blood for different purposes.

You can also make some really fun non-descript gore with strawberry jello, made with half the usual amount of water. We used it in the "Zombie Ninjas" short when the zombie ninja kids took down the goth and feasted on his innards. The parents were really antsy about it until the boy working with us said, "Hey, it tastes good!" LOL

that's really cool. i have a friend that took a black and white "death" photo of herself. blank stare, lying in a pool of blood. it was actually quite lovely and artistic. she used just chocolate syrup, like the original "Psycho".
and her face was reflected in the puddle. It looked awesome.

Yeah the end with the whole huge ghost head was a bit ridiculous. Shame because the movie had some creepy parts to it early on. I was also surprised by a couple of the actors who made it in the film. I think I expected all unknowns and was pleasantly surprised with Harris and Vincent.

reply

One of the parts that I laughed about was when the girl (played by Josie Maran, I can't remember her name) got her throat slit and she's squirting blood everywhere and Harris' wife goes "she's losing too much blood".
I also thought the part where they walked into the room and the little boy ghost was in there, jumped down and ran away because he looked like a scarecrow. The only face that was scary was the axe murderer's at the very beginning and hearing about what the three people who were dead did to get buried in the "undesireable"section of the graveyard. This movie is laughable.

reply

I love it... undesirable... I think I'd rather end up dead in THAT part of the graveyard... the beginning and part of the middle (as was mentioned) was really good and creepy... I ended up fast forwarding most of the end though... and then when the big ghost head was chasing them... oh brother... I couldn't help but equate the ending "shot" to the end of "One Crazy Summer"... I was calling him "Hoops" Harris before the movie ended.

reply

First of all I can't believe anyone liked this movie. My friends and I went to Blockbuster and asked for the scariest movie in the store and this was what we got. We were laughing so hard throughout this whole movie especially the end. The whole Cheerwine advertisement throughout was pretty lame and the losing too much blood line was a classic. The little ghost kid looked like Andy Warhol. And the line when Linda Cardellini said I think she's gone and then got axed was so predictable. This was probably one of the better comedies of the year.

reply

I think you mean Megahn Perry. Linda Cardellini wasn't in this movie, although with the way Megahn was dressed she did resemble the look Linda had in the Scooby Doo movies.

reply

ooohh...too many funny scenes to mention
but the funniest would have to be when the giant bobble head at the end kept ramming into the hummer.
leave it to the americans to squeeze in a chase scene XD
loved the movie nonetheless tho

reply

The part that made me laugh the most was in the hospital when the corpse sits up and grabs the woman, she trys getting away causing the cart thingy that the corpse is on to drag beside her, and the corpse doesnt move at all while the woman is freaking out!

sooooo many funny parts. I thought Josie Maran's acting was pretty laughable. Especially when she started calling the rapist ghost a bastard...her delivery was just sooooo bad it was funny. The kid ghost was also pretty hilarious.

reply

haha yeah. when she hit her with the car, all i could think of was "pwnd, bee-otch!"(i guess thats sort of an inside joke though....im postin it anyway!)

hellsing is great. anyone saying otherwise will be forced to watch info-mercials

reply

Watching the fire spout up in the apartment and then the paranormal guy or whatever he was reaches out and grabs it and gets burned. Maybe it's becuase most everything up to that point was boring... But me and my friends pretty much cracked up at how stupid that guy was. Cause fire is totally not going to burn O_o

reply

I loved this movie. Scary AND funny! I laughed so hard at the part where the poor piano teacher gets smashed by the hummer ^_^.

reply

It was good until the huge CGI head chased them, then it turned from horror movie to Universal studios thrill ride.

reply

The part that really struck me as funny was when they were digging up the bodies in the graveyard and then the one chick comes running up and yells "somebody's coming". It just made me think of a group of kids doing something they shouldn't be doing.

reply

I have to put it in a top three... number one got the most laughs:

3.) Sid on fire and that lovely green screen fire…
2.) When Allison wheeled the bloody corpse towards her… I’ll I could here in my head was *squeak squeak squeak*
1.) Emma getting hit by the truck!

Oh the joys of horror movies…

I was sleeping through the entire second half - then I woke up because it got loud, and there was a giant digital head chasing people in the car. I turned it off and went to bed - stupid movie - the WHOLE THING made me laugh!
