One of my all-time favorite horror films

When it comes to the horror genre, The Descent is my all-time favorite. And oddly, I usually don't find horror films that involve fictional creatures that interesting. In fact, I try to avoid those types of films, because most of the time they're not that impressive. I'm more interested in psychopaths, serial killers, and human depravity when it comes to horror films. But for this movie, I can definitely make an exception.

First off, the soundtrack is amazing. Probably the best score I've ever heard in a horror film. The leading actress who played Sarah delivered a terrific performance. In fact, I would say the entire cast did a great job. The acting is what made this movie so enjoyable. Everything about this film just clicked. Everything from the score, the acting, the location, the build-up, the entire atmosphere of the story, etc. This is one of those films that I would consider flawless.
