Why does this movie never get the respect it deserves?

Is it because there's so many people that literally don't get it? I've seen so many people completely miss the part where it was revealed Juno had an affair with Sarah's husband. It was pretty straight forward and obvious to me. And if you don't get that part then you missed one of the biggest plot points right there. Also I've seen people say the creatures ruined it. How? The movie had to go somewhere. It was kinda at a stand still when they were finally revealed. So what, everyone just wanted a movie where they try getting out of a cave and that's it? There needed to be that extra obstacle for them to get through. They're also very symbolic of Sarah's own descent into madness. By the time they show up Sarah is *beep* insane at this point. I don't believe in the "Sarah killed all of her friends" theory either. Otherwise her conversation with Beth would make no sense. But anyway, the ending is also perfect. That is of course if you're not a little crybaby who can't take depressing endings. Sarah is the only one left. Her husband, daughter, and friends are all dead and all she can remember is a happy memory she had of her daughter. She's almost in a catatonic state unaware and probably doesn't mind that she's going to die because she'll be reunited with her daughter. As this bittersweet moment happens in her own head the harsh reality comes back as the camera pans out and you can still hear the monsters in the background about to close in on her. One of the best endings to a horror film I've ever seen due to that stark contrast in mood. This deserves to be in the Top 250 and I'm not joking.

My complaint is not any of those things. It's the cliched dialogue and wooden acting. Acting in terms of delivering dialogue, that is; the acting when they are running, climbing, fighting, etc. is fine.
