A 7.2 after 150k votes!!?? This movie was laughably bad.

Its 3am here and I need to sleep, so this will be brief, haha. Maybe ill add to it some other time.
I usually don't disagree with an IMDB rating, but this was the case here. This movie was not scary at all. I started laughing when Sarah rose from the giant pool of blood like the Arnold in the Predator, that was hilarious. How did that giant pool of blood come to be? One of the many wtf moments.
How is this rated a 7.2 by sooo many people, I'm really mystified on this one, lol.

I don't think it was a pool of blood. It was a pool, with blood coating the surface.
Anyway, it's a superb movie, and it's rating is laughable. It should be higher

i love this movie, not perfect but well done in my opinion especially the first half

1.) the giant pool of blood came from all the animals and humans the creatures would bring from above ground, and I'm guessing that's where they would drain them and such.
2.) her rising out of it and later being the schtick for marketing in several ways was actually inspired (as such as many other scenes) from artwork by an artists name I can't recall but they are very beautiful from what I recall if you ever decide to research them
3.) I agree with the other commenters that you are the minority. The rating should be much higher especially taking into consideration the low budget and great actors and originality of horror film during a time when they were very weak. Maybe to be persuaded you should read Roger Ebert(one of the greatest critics to ever live) review where he praises it with 4 stars. He nails it on the head

I agree. I don't know how any horror fan couldn't at the very least, appreciate this movie. It has awesome creature effects, minimal cgi, solid acting (I suppose that's subjective), awesome looking sets, an extremely claustrophobic feel (I guess that could be a bad thing to some?)... I don't know. I think some people go into every horror movie 'dying' to pick it apart and look for any and every flaw. It's a defense mechanism they use in order to help convince themselves what they're watching isn't real and can't hurt them - Repeat after me: "It's only a movie... It's only a movie..."

Its a good movie. You're a moron. Theres no other explanation. The majority of people saw what you couldnt see. I love this flick.
