What the chupacabra is this?

Here is what I really need to say about this movie:
1.The story makes alot of sence. They capture chupa, but him on the ship,it kills people, they blow it up.Like any other movie.
2.What dosen't make sence is the girl beats the Chupacabra bad, will the people with guns coudn't.Sure, the armor peircing shell did kick but,but those guys were trained, unlike her.
3.Why in every movie does the dog need to die?It was cruel, and wrong,in my opinion.
4.Dramtic.This movie is dramatic.Black guy dies,he acts very dramatic. That is really freaky.
5.The poisen stuff was just out of the clouds. The key to killing it.There was not one thing I read abou that could kill a chupa that was a poisen gun.
It makes mor eexitment ij the movie, and makes it more sci-fi-ish',but that isn't true about it.
Also,it serverd no porpouse to the movie. They stab it,but it doesn't die.
What was the porpuose?
6.Alright,the robber in the movie made no sence.Just some not needed thing in a movie.
7.Every body dies exept the girl and the captain.I find that just plain wrong.

Overal,it was a Sci-fi movie. It was in fact worth my time.I a just a fact person, meaning I only enjoy the true facts about the chupa. But the movie was still enjoyable.
An 8/10 movie rating,in my opinion.

You must have been on an acid trip while watching this cause this movie sucked on so many levels, I dont see how you can give this an 8/10 or even enjoy it.

I hope your joking about liking it.....

Judging from the spelling, especially under point 5, he is still on the acid trip :-)

Finally someone who agrees with me that dogs need to stop being killed in these movies. Especially the way this dog dies. At least in most of them its like; Bam, dog dies. In this one its more like you see a gorey scene of it eating the dog

LOL the chupacabra just had the dog in his hands. lol was funny the dog was killed that way. I just love this movie. I gave it 10.

I hate it when dogs, cats, or any other animal die in a movie. I only saw 1 movie where a dog lives, but I can't remember the name right now.

reply

Same. In the Hills Have Eyes one of the dogs lived.

reply

Yeah! That's the movie I was thinking of.

the pet yellow lab in independence day lives (jumps over the cars to safety) and i saw this movie in my hotel room alone in vietnam when my parents were at dinner. it kinda creeped me out how the La Chubacabra crawled on the ceiling and it was obvious who was going to die. also i think of the la chubacabra as a really freaky animal. i mean is it like bigfoot a giant reptile or something else? i give this movie a 6/10.

The cat from Alien survives too...

counting bodies, like sheep, to the rhythm of the war drums

Why are you guys so sad about the dog being town up? And the half ripped in half human being screaming in terror? I can't believe you guys are desenthisized (spelling) to humans and care about DOGS? Hahah makes completely no sense...

Well think about it. When was the last time a dog started a war? Fired you from your much needed job? Lied to you? Cheated you? Stole from you? etc.

I'll take my dog over almost every other person out there. Dogs are loyal, trustworthy, loving, and only want two things from you....food and love. Now you can't beat that.

People leave a lot to be desired. Truth be told, we people aren't as great as we like to think. We have a major superiority complex that needs to be knocked down a few dozen levels.

Bravo to those who still get upset seeing a helpless animal being destroyed.

hahaha, "helpless animal being destroyed", Yea I know what you mean. A good female friend of mine who had a load of dogs was so angry I showed her that part lol it was hilarious. But come on the movie is not real, but the Chupacabra is real. So in real life we would all be mad if a dog was harmed this way.

Just in case anyone is interested to know, the story of the "Chupacabra" began here in Brazil a few years ago. "Chupa" means (it) sucks, and "cabra" is a female goat, thus "chupacabra" = female goat (blood) sucker. What happened was that in some country town (I don't remember which), people started talking about sightings of a creature (which some believed to be an extraterrestrial being), and some animals were usally found dead after the sightings. The word "chupacabra" even became a kind of slang meaning "ugly", as the drawings made by the people who had supposedly seen the creature were of a very ugly creature :).

Actually, the chupacabra began in the 80s here in Puerto Rico, and before it we had The Vampire of Moca (70s).

I remember all of the sightings in the 90s; someone seeing the chupacabra was more common than the Tortuguero UFO sightings, and that's saying something.

Let's hear some TRUE Chupa facts?

reply

mmm... Let's Not, plz :p

The chupacabra kinda looks like Smiegal from LOTR or those creatures in The Decent. Yea its based on some animals getting killed in some country and it lives in caves, Brazil could be right.

If you guys are into animal deaths then The Thing has some dogs getting killed and Pulse has a totally unneccasry cat rotting which looks like the one from David Lynchs Eraserhead.

This is true. Titanic had the same exact plot.

The dog from Independence Day survives.

I saw this movie trailer and didn't like it because the creature looked nothing like a chupacabra. The creature in the movie was brown with human like skin, had black eyes, the size of a person and no spikes on it's back. It is actually supposed to be green with scales, red eyes, no bigger than four feet tall and has spikes running down it's back.(I know this since this is my favorite cryptid)

The marshal guy survives. I'm just glad they let the captain live, I would have liked it if the thief survived, but meh, he was greedy. Also, the girl was a Tae-bo instructor, she just probably used what she knew. The robber was just a subplot, so the movie would have more reality than a guy in a rubber suit going around killing people. It wasn't poison, it was the tranquilizer that the guy used in the beginning. He needed to tranq it, not kill it. The thing had some kind of armored skin, so bullets wouldn't work. Actually, in a lot of horror movies, animals/small children usually survive. The dog's death was a little over the top though. I mean, they couldn't have him eat it in one gulp, she finds the collar, she gets chomped? Meh, when I'm producer... I actually thought it was a pretty good B-movie.
