It has an ending. It's just a terrible cliffhanger of one.

They pretty much wrapped up the story that was told, yes. Could it have opened up a new storyline in Season 2 by the way the last episode was done? Yes.

Journeymanl, your comment made me wtach it anyway and while it was a good enough show the ending didnt wrap things up. It was a horrible cliffhanger...

Nobody has won, team evil obviously scored a few points but Christina didnt destroy Point Pleasant like in the prediction. Especially the part where the Kramers say it isnt over only a minute before the credits come up really doesnt wrap things up. Sure they killed some characters, rushed some plotlines but I suspected they realized there wouldnt be anopther season so they needed to rush it. Instead they made this open ending while they could have made such a nice ending.

If I recall correctly, they were finishing up filming episode eleven, "Missing", when they knew for sure they were getting canceled, and they hastily rewrote the final two episodes. In the span of two episodes, I really don't think there's a way they could have completely wrapped up the story and not have a bit of a cliffhanger without it being pretty retarded.

But that is why the final two episodes (especially the last one) are so rushed. As for the ending, I don't consider it a "cliffhanger". No, the story is not finished but it seems like an OK way to end a season to me if you know you're not coming back. And it also lets you imagine your own conclusion. Some people take the ending to mean Christina has won; that's it, evil is triumphant. Personally I think it's just the beginning and the story is far from over. But whatever.

The way I read the ending is it's a draw, especially the reply Christina made to Boyd when he said "We won." and her answer was "No, I won." Evil didn't truly win because she didn't destroy the town. But by the same token good didn't win either. It left a lot to the imagination (or maybe a TV movie).

Exactly, and that is why I say that they wrapped up the storylines, but still could have come back for another season.

I wished Jesse didnt die

i'm not surprised that Christina didn't die.
She was the leading character----the show wasn't gonna kill off their leading character. Likewise I'm not surprised that the family wasn't killed off (or the town for that mattter) because again you couldn't do the show without a number of the major characters.

I was surprised that they allowed Jesse to be killed off quite frankly given all the build up that the plot gave his mother and his step-father and the cult that recruited him to kill Christina.

I wasn't crazy about the ending---but it did what i expected it to more or less so there you go. (I think what i wasn't crazy about was how crazy or over the top Christina went---i mean i get that that was the point---that she was supposed to be this confused teenage antichrist who was completely confused about her role as the bringer of doom and her feelings towards humanity were mixed and all that but her flipping out the way she did in the last ep----she should've either done that an episode or two earlier---or the writers should have set that up better. i don't know exactly but i feel like that could've been done a little better....still aside from Ms. Harnois' performance---it was a good show---Grant Show was actually really good as Mr. Boyd and the family was good too---Richard Burgi and Aubrey Dollar were both stand outs as well. and Dina Meyer as Ms. Hargrove! hello!)

Well there's no saying for sure Jessie is REALLY did. He did die and come back as a child after all. It's very plausible that he'd come back to life, perhaps after the knife is removed from his neck.

Personally, I think Jesse's dead. God only revived him when he was a child because he still had a destiny to fulfil - to meet Christina and persuade her to maintain the status quo, instead of destroying the world (as her father wanted). He's failed in that task, so God has no further use for him.

Why did god choose him in the first place, why not just snap his fingers and win instantly, he's supposed to be allpowerful right?.

Oh boy. The show didn't actually give us any rules (not like let's say Constantine). Maybe God was allowed to interfere with his son and now it was satan's turn?
