The religious sect was stupid

Training Jesse to kill Christina was realy a sin instead of luring wer to their side since she was never on the devil's payroll his daughter resisted the offer. Just like in Stigmata where a Catholic Preist was trying to keep a sccret from getting out that the Church was realy man not made of brick and stone (lift a piece of rock, slit a piece of wood and I am there) that was a sin that he tried to kill the girl who had the parchment writing. Every once in awhile some religiuos sect or cult like the Druid's or others comes out and goes crazy.

Yes they were dumb and actually helped Boyd in his quest to bush Christina to the dark side.

Killing Christina technically wouldn't have been a sin seeing as how she was created to basically destroy the world. And in the scriptures God doesn't say flat out not to ever kill anyone, there are many instances where he in fact demands it.
It makes me question if the writers actually read the Bible before. Anyhoo, the sect was stupid in many ways and did lead to Christina going all evil but their intentions were noble.

And while I liked the idea of God wanting Christina to live so she could choose and be redeemed or whatever, I think he'd want her to be dead if it came down to that or the world's destruction.

does a commandment count as 'flat out'?

Killing Christina failed but killing the show succeeded. Was killing the show a sin?
