I just watched the opening of episode one on youtube, and I meant to ask, does anyone know what the music and song is, the one that plays over the opening credits after the MONSTER title comes up? I think it's SO pretty.

It's not a song. Just a music for the opening, composed by Haishima Kuniaki, with the rest of series soundtrack. It's called "Grain".
