English version?

Is there a version available of this program with English subtitles or dubbing, either online or DVD?

reply

I have not come across any, sorry.

reply

On Ruv there are Icelandic subs. Im not sure that would be a step up...

reply

I am strongly against dubbing, and I do not think Klovn will be dubbed. I haven't come across Klovn with English subtitles either, so basically, this answer was a waste of everyone's time.

reply

Oh I so agree about dubbing. I cant understand why Germany, France and other countries do it.
But it would benefit the show if they would sell the DVD with English subtitles, that is true. And I also think that it is one of the funniest things on TV.

Ertu kannski íslenskur?

reply

The version of Klovn sold on DVD in Denmark has English subtitles. It is from Universal Music Denmark/ Zentropa, and has 5 episodes per disk, region 0 (region free), and is PAL format, I assume, so it will play on any computer, but not any U.S. TV. I see this version is for sale on a major U.S. online bookseller.

We can IMAGINE what is not.

reply

Yeah...the DVDs sold here in Iceland have english subs, so you should be able to get them online babe!

reply

There is an English version of this program, it's called Curb Your Enthusiasm, and it's far superior to this blatant copy-cat crap.

reply

This is quite a bump but all seasons are available on Hulu.
As far as the translation goes, I have no idea how accurate it is since I know no Danish. I can tell you that I laugh my ass off nearly every episode, so it's good in my book.

reply

I'd forgotten I'd posted here before.

Anyway it's currently being shown subtitled in English on Australian tv, and incredibly funny it is too, but undoubtedly very derivative of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I'm surprised Casper is the bigger star, as Frank is definitely the funnier actor in this series.
