As time goes on, I grow to like this series less and less.

Don't read on if you haven't seen the ending yet.

Basically, the our heroes all die for nothing. The villain lives and will continue to wreak havoc upon the world with no one to stop him, ever. Our heroes all sacrifice their lives in every possible meaning of the term and it amounts to asbolutely nothing. They might as well have done nothing. Joshua isn't saved (at least not mentally), our villain lives and WINS, Remington gets kicked out of Heaven, Azmaria is the only one who comes out ahead, Satella gets reunited with her sister only to die a few seconds later, and Chrono and Rosette just halt Aion briefly, at best. Seriously, what was the point of everything that happened in this show if absolutely no good came out of anything the heroes did?

And this shows' FOR KIDS in Japan! What a wonderful lesson! "Hey, kids, remember now, everything you do will never amount to anything. Anyone you try to help will probably just meet a grusome end, anyway. So the best you can do is just mind your own damn business and wait for the Sun to collapse."
Did Ayn Rand write this show?
