im just at episode 118 (skipped fillers) and i see suddenly everyone perform bankai amd do amazing feats but two weeks(probably less) they couldnt even beat weak ichigo.
but in the rescue season the cat woman clearly state bankai is a very high level that captains or higher do. now we see people who arent even lieutenants perform it and create more huge feats.
am i the only one who find this ridiculous ?
That's Bleach for ya, Kubo's writing isn't always very good.
The only person who can perform Bankai and is lower than a lieutenant is Ikkaku, so it's actually more like person not people. It's actually gets explained why Ikkaku never used his Bankai against Ichigo, he wants to keep it a secret, Ikkaku could easily be a higher rank if he wanted, but he doesn't want to leave Squad 11, not as long as Kenpachi is the captain there.
Also another simple reasoning to it all is no one expected Ichigo to be that powerful and that skilled. They all underestimated him and that gave Ichigo an edge during the rescue.
