Bleach done :(

Its really a shame the anime is finished
and
its really a shame the manga is going to end to after the final arc

any ideers what could have happend in the future in bleach if they decide to revive the manga after the final arc?

i was thinking something like aizen escaped from his prison and wants revenge but thats maybe a bit stupid or something new that takes at least as long as it did to take down aizen

reply

Yeah, it's too bad the anime is finished (for now). I've complained about many of the filler episodes and the last horrible filler arc, but I will miss the show.

Man, that's really hard to say, the final arc has just begun and could go on for another year or two. Apparently Aizen will be back in the final arc, maybe he'll even be killed then. So I think it's way too early to speculate about a possible revival of Bleach after the final arc which has barely started :p

reply

where did you hear that aizen will be back? :O

reply

Erm, I'll look it up and get back to you about that. Kubo said he'd like to draw Aizen in chains or something like that.

reply

thanks looking forward to it :)

With thanks to Xlight who provided me with the link in an earlier tread. At the bottom of the page you can find links to scans of the magazine it came from.

I am sure they will bring it back. Especially since a live action movie may happen, it will need to stay popular with people not just manga readers.

I too often hated many of the filler episodes and arcs. The slow moving pace can be bothersome, hopefully when it comes back it is straight through no fillers.

I heard that the Bleach series was catching up to the Manga to quickly, and that is why the put in a lot of filler episodes to try and give it some extra space, but people kept complaining. So, they are taking a break to get some material created and ready to be converted into Bleach episodes, with less filler.

However, This is just hear-say that I have picked up from various sites, and not from any official capacities. Thought, this does seem a logical explanation.

reply

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like they are "taking a break".
The way the last episode ended, we call all safely say that Bleach (anime) is, indeed, over.

They could've ended the episode like any other, also stating that Bleach would be back, I don't know, in a year, perhaps?
But no, they had to go with a real, original ending (by that I mean that the end credits clearly are different than the past episodes, thus showing that the series are coming to an end).

Now, like most of you, I agree that they just wouldn't leave the last Arc out of the equation.
I would love to hear/read some confirmation that this is just some kind of break, and that Bleach should be back in X months/years.

Another option (that I dare say pleased me) that I read around was that the last Arc should be turned into OVAs (look at Hellsing for example).
Why would that be awesome?
Well, for one I bet they could go all the way with no censorship.
And just think of the quality!

But we're probably going to get the series again, because there's still a lot to be told (Turn Back The Pendulum chapters, 'cause I don't see them fitting anywhere in the OVAs).

So yeah, discuss I guess.

Fine, fine, I'll leave! But first I'm going to bother these peanuts! Hmm? Yes? Hmm? HMM?

Ichigo has said at the end of this last episode: "See You Again". That tells me that the show is not completely ended, and that there is still a good chance that the show will continue in the near future.

But again, everything is possible, maybe the show is really ended. I can't imagine how I would be disappointed if that happens. There is still a lot of things that needs to be said, for example, I would like to know how Ichigo's father had become a Shinigami, and what is with the Captain coat on his left shoulder.

Anyway, we can only hope that one day it will continue, I hope as soon as possible.

reply

If it really is over then this show did not even get close to its potential. It is a complete waste so many unfinished stories about the characters. We have not seen every ones shinkai or bankai. I think it will be back since it is too popular to be left undone. Plus like I mentioned earlier a live action movie is suppose to be in the works. The show is popular but if a movie comes out in a year and a half or 2 with no anime it will bomb.

reply

I don't know why, but I have this bad feeling that the movie will be just like the Dragonball Evolution back in 2009. That movie (at least for me) has totally ruined the whole Dragonball franchise, which is amazing.

I personally would like to see Rukia's bankai, if she has one. She is a lieutenant now and she should have a bankai like a Renji.

Anyway, I think that the Bleach movie is totally unnecessary, I mean, why doing something that will probably ruin the manga and the show just to earn some money?! But, what I know, maybe the movie will be so good, that they will make a sequel, and another one after. I hope that I will be pleasantly surprised. I hope.

Dude, if you really love the Mangas/Animes, no matter how mad movie adaptations are or whatever that should never be enough for you to say that they ruined the original source material.

I'm sorry, but that's the absolute truth right there.
So what if the movie is *beep*
Forget about it, you still have the awesome mangas, animes, soundtracks, etc.

No movie adaptation should be enough to make you forget about it.
I don't believe in that sort of thing.

Yeah the movie will likely be bad but you have to try and separate them.

Bleach will end up like Inuyasha,Fullmetal Alchemist and few other animes where the stop or ended the show, then continue once the manga is finished.Inuyasha's anime series first ended in 2004 but once the manga ended in 2008..they continued again with the rest of the manga in 2009.

I'm the Corruptor.

Most lieutenants do not have their bankai. I assume the other Vaizard might, but otherwise only Ichigo and 7 other non-captains are confirmed and 3 of those were former captains.

I agree, that would be awesome, but I think that Ichigo will never become the most powerful Shinigami, because there is no way that he could beat Captain-Commander Yamamoto. Maybe if he learn to control his full Hollow form, as he has become in his fight with Ulquiorra, then he would be unstoppable.

reply

Even if Ichigo became the most powerful Shinigami I believe Shunsui,Jushiro, and of course Yamamoto can all beat him. We have yet to see Shunsui's and Junshiro's bankai.

reply

Shunsui Kyoraku is (at least for me) the best Captain in the Gotei 13. He is one of the best characters out there. His Shikai is awesome, I mean completely awesome, and am dying to see his Bankai. I remember when Ukitake warned him not to release his Bankai "where others can see", when they fought Starrk. After that, I simply can't wait to see it, but that day will come, I know it will.

reply

^ I agree InfamousPrince.

He has been a favorite of mine even with all the mystery around him. He beat Stark yet was not trying 100% he is the best besides head captain.

Bleach was awesome while it lasted but, it needed to end. Aizen was the whole reason the show began and once he was defeated, there is no point to it continuing. There will NEVER, EVER be a bleach villain as good as he was.

R.I.P Bleach. Truly it is one of the few shows that could be called DBZ's successor(the other being Yu Yu Hakusho).

reply

Don't count on it being finished forever.. All it takes is for someone to buy the rights for the new arc. The manga is still ongoing and it looks strong.

When it ends my bet is we'll see someone step up to animate it.

reply

[deleted]

It should get a re do like Fullmetal and Hunter X Hunter, their 1st versions were not based on the manga entirely. HxH had a rushed "Ending" the 1st time, but the redo anime has been great.

Bleach had too many damn fillers and pointless plots. I didn't even finish the animes last arc because it looked bad.

reply

The manga ended badly.

Tite Kubo was pretty much told by Shonen Jump to wrap the manga up in the next few chapters. As I understand it, it was his own fault it ended the way it did. That doesn't mean it can't get fixed in the anime however.

Imagine that he was told to wrap the soul society arc up in the next chapter while it was in the middle of the fight with Kuchiki Byakuya.. That's pretty much what happened. I have a feeling he had known it was coming for some time as things were becoming rushed.

I agree that the fullbring arc was crap. It didn't seem very well thought through. In the next arc, the Quincy arc, you see Bankais of several new captain class characters and some much better directed fights. It felt a lot like the arrancar/soul society arcs.

I wish for Bleach to continue as anime, it has the potential for a brilliant final arc if Tite Kubo is given free reign to rewrite.

They can continue the anime or even remake it like HxH, but seriously they should have a new writer... Tite is awesome creating characters and making them interesting, but after all these chapters most of their stories feel incomplete. As an old Bleach fan I felt really sad watching how boring the manga had become, it's a pity, Bleach's characters are so cool that half of them could have their very spin-off series. I'd love to watch a new series with Yoruichi's family for example, maybe her old aventures with soi fong under her care.
