Enjoyed it!

I watched this movie because of Steven Strait. I was not disappointed. He has an interesting singing voice and sexy speaking voice. He looks fantastic. He acted the part well and made for a good teen romantic lead. I can't believe he was only 18 or 19 when this movie was made!!! I hope he makes more movies in the future.

Although this movie got clobbered in reviews, I thought it was pretty good for the kind of movie it was: a romantic, coming-of-age movie, set in an mtv video kind of look, meant for younger people or romantics. It was not meant to be a heavy drama or solve any major world crisis. We all know this movie is not going to win anything during Oscars! I have seen better, but I have seen ALOT worse. I don't know why people are bashing it so much. From some of the comments, it doesn't seem that a chunk of the bashers even saw the movie! How can you comment on a movie you didn't see or partially saw?? Is it because they are not Ashlee Simpson fans and just hate anything she touches? I'm not really a fan of hers (I don't really like her singing), but to be honest, I didn't mind her in the movie. She played a supporting character and played it decently. I admit I think the movie could use a touch more re-writes to tighten up the story, development of characters and editing adjustments, etc. But, all-in-all, I enjoyed the movie.

Yeah, same here. I know it wasnt the perfect movie, but I really dont think it was THAT bad. I actually enjoyed it, and Im really surprised with the ratings on IMDB. I thought it would have at LEAST a 5/10 not a 3 point something. Oh well. I understand why a lot of people dont like it, but it was still kind of cute to me.

Glad to hear it Dancerchick! Sadly, I think we might be the only ones though! LOL

I watched because of Steven too and despite what people said, it's actually pretty good.

Yes, I really liked the film too. There were some good reality-based things going on. The music business is a hard one to break into. Yes, it was kind of soft in its protrayal of how difficult it can be, but all in all it was worth at least a B.

Channel surfing one day I got into the middle of the film. Had no idea who the actors were. Thought all of the actors did a great job. Really. Didn't realize Ashley Simpson was in the film until I was able to look up the film on IMdb. Have watched it several times now. Princess Leia herself is in the film! LOL. She is a hoot in this film. Love that dog, the silly cover band, the songs/music, and being able to revisit some of the LA locations. So, hey.

Can't believe there are so many negative people out there. What do they do? Are they out there doing anything brave or scary? Performing is not easy... Musicians, artists, poets, athletes...it takes guts to create something and then know that there will be people whose sole purpose in life is to try to trash or tear down what was put out there.

I remember how I would feel badly for the cheerleaders at our local high school's pep rallies. The audience seemed to be waiting for errors to happen so that they could boo the squad. So unfair, uncouth, and childish.

It has been a hot and humid summer.

I also enjoyed this movie for what it was. If I had seen its imdb rating before watching it, I probably would have skipped it, so I'm glad I saw it first. I can see why it wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but to call it the worst movie ever, as many have commented, is ridiculous (or they don't watch many movies). I've seen too many movies that I have hated, but this wasn't one of them.
