Guy Fawkes didn't get immediately executed.

If this movie had the balls it claimed it did, and wanted to show the barbarism and cruelty of authority, it should have shown what really happened to the man after he was caught. He wasn't immediately executed, he was given a prison stretch.

Meaning, he was placed in the London Tower to get starved in a prison cell, and than they put him on the Rack, where he was stretched and stretched for hours until his limbs popped out, and than stretched some more. Ouch.

The government in this came off like some mean Saturday morning cartoon villain. Not threatening enough due to punches pulled, especially in comparison to how unusual the government truly was and can be.
