It was this movie or brokeback mountain. I choose this movie to see in the theater, there was too much buzz for brokeback. maybe this had buzz also but I thought I made the better choice at the time. lesser of two evils.

whats weird to me is that they were released a year apart from each other.*update* brokeback had just won 3 oscars.... but yea the guy faukes mask is annoying now.

Which doesn't preclude homosexuality.

Homosexuality is a preference for ones own sex when it comes to sexual fulfillment.

Love has little to nothing to do with sex. If it did incest and beastiality would be commonplace.

A protestor who cared for these disenfranchised groups and stood up for them is what V most likely was before he was taken in. If not, then fact of the matter is anyone that was deemed different and/or was known to be against this oppressed government was a target (just like it is in real life... moreso now more than ever).

In any event, to my mind V clearly had a romantic attraction to Evey.

I mean, he could've been bi. He was clearly in love with Evey so I wouldn't say gay. I would imagine Norsefire would persecute bisexuals as they did homosexuals.

Not everyone in Lark Hill was gay/lesbian. They consisted of "undesirables" and just like the Nazi concentrations camps this consisted of "lesser races," people of certain religions, lgbt's, or anyone who was outspoken against the regime politically. The list goes on and on.

no, he survived the fire but we can assume that his penis didn't...so even though he 'liked' Evey, he could never act on it..he near;y had a 90% burn, most ppl with that percentage burn do not survive...penis is a phallus (meat), it will burn right off..

Assuming that someone is Gay, does not make them "heterophobic". Also, left-handed people are also a minority. Now what? The fact that Homosexuals are in a minority is of no significance. They are people, minority or not -- they wake up, get dressed, work jobs, raise families, eat, sleep, drink, fart, etc. just like everyone else. They are no more or less valid than anyone else and their rights are just as valuable as anyone else's.

Hope changes everything.

I'm going to say yes but only because V says almost everyone who is persecuted by Sutler is gay. Which would make V gay as well. When they show the civilians watching TV in the film they show straight couples with kids. You might could say some of the older folks in the nursing home were gay but it isn't hinted that they are. So yeah. But only because that seems to be the kind of people Sutler was trying to get rid of.
