What I indeed liked about this movie.

I liked how marebito didnt try to get in your face scares. It was really elegant with its style. The scene where he watches the girl just stare at him through the window really creeped the hell out of me. The way the movie presented itself was way more powerful than any horror movie Ive seen in years. The movie, as a whole I feel, was kind of weak, though. I guess the fact that it was made in 8 days on a low low college project budget has something to do with it. Some of the effects felt so horribly cheesy, like when it looked like he was travelling through some cosmos of fear. Looked so bad. But I saw the potential for a truly great film. Its there. With proper care. this movie could be remade into one of the greatest horror movies.
