I posted about this before regarding other garbage put out by the SciFi Channel and I do apologize if I sound like a broken record, but why does the SciFi Channel keep putting out garbage like this? There is a hundred plus years worth of science fiction literature out there to choose from and they putting this garbage out. How in the world did anyone get this made? Why do they put it on the air? There is no way this garbage brings in ratings. It can't be cheaper to do this then some of the great works of scifi literature would be. So why?

It actually got one of, if not the highest ratings on the SciFi channel this year.

The so-called SciFi Channel is no longer that. Yes, they are making some money (god help us) but not from actual SciFi programming.

They have alienated their core group, the SciFi fans, to pursue a wider demographic - probably pre-teens who never read a SciFi novel in their lives.

It's very sad. Tragic even. We've lost the only channel which was once dedicated to SciFi and the imagination. Now it's just dedicated to sludge.

I knew it was the beginning of the end when it was purchased by NBC. NBC trashed the sci-fi channel just like they trashed Bravo.

I dont mind. I actually liked a lot of the movies. I hate the shows. Way too outta wack and Sci-Fi for me. I watch Sci-Fi for the space and weather/disaster movies and I could careless about space alien TV shows, thats just me though. I know ill get bitched at for having an opinion though.

The people running the so-called SciFi Channel don't understand the sci fi genre nor sci fi fans. In fact it appears they have contempt for both.

To make a movie that has cool stuff science related. To be creative and make you think more outside the box.... You people need to think when you post stuff like this. It's just mean to the people who put alot of time into the movie. Besides some people don't wont to read and instead are more visual and need a movie or audio tape to understand it better. Basically you just put down a bunch of people including people with reading disabilities and such which i am one of.....
Why are people so hateful or "Mean" to each other.....?
I did that so people wont criticize about using the "strong" world "hateful". I think they are just immature. ><

Badboy, who the heck was the doofus who posted the REPLY to that original post? Apparently you had both the original post, with valid points, and some foolish reply.

"To be creative and think outside the box"? Whaaaa? Are there people who actually view the SciFi Channel as being "creative" or "thinking outside the box"?

I'm really curious who posted that reply. Someone who worked at SciFi Channel, I imagine, since no one else would believe that load of BS.

Clearly you DO have a reading disability if you came to the above conclusion after reading the original post. He was saying this and MANY other movies on the Sci-Fi channel are crappy. And they ARE. We are supposed to applaud people that put so much time into something so sub-standard? Pfffft. "Hey teacher! Check out my science project! It demonstrates the effects of heat on a jar of boogers and cheetos. It took me months to collect my data! What? I got an 'F'???"

Yes, the movie is low budget and badly executed. I still enjoyed it more than some of the recent premium garbage (like 28 Weeks Later or Cloverfield).
