I am confused about something

Why didn't littel slugger ever kill maniwa with his bat in any of the episodes after episode 7 if after episode 7 he went crazy?Doesn't he only go after people who are mentally cornered? And after episode 7 didn't he start beating to death all of the people he went after?

Isn't anybody going to reply?

In episode 12 littel slugger DOES try to do what i mentioned in my first post but he couldn't pull it off.So i guess he was going after maniwa and trying to kill him but that's the only time it showed it.But that still doesn't explain why he didn't try to kill him before he became rader man.

I dont think this is the case mate.
Maniwa did begin to get paranoid, but only because he was investigating Lil' slugger, meaning he was investigating the true nature of fear (lil slugger = fear) he was not under the stresses of a direct personal fear of something. You could say fear itself was making him paranoid. But Maniwa is strong of character and soon learns the secret of Lil Slugger. By bordering on sane and insane he is able to followthe 'ancient masters' instructions and hunt down the secret behind Lil Slugger and thus hunt him down...

the only deaths in the whole series are the suicides of the members of the online "happy family planning", and the murders commited by the PA of the Maromi show. Lil'Slugger doesn't kill anyone, but provokes paranoia in them to lie, cheat, steal, give up, shirk responsibility, yearn for death, and on some occasions... kill.
Maniwa is the first character to truly understand the nature of Lil' Slugger and Maromi, and their connection. he interrogates the right people, asks the right questions, places himself in the right state of mind, and solves the case. and thus he becomes the next wise old man.

Shounen Bat's purpose is to help people escape from responsibility, not to attack those fully living in fantasy. He thrived on fantasy (notice he doesn't automatically attack everyone in love with Maromi), and Maniwa battling him can be seen as him battling his own psychosis. But he wasn't trying to "escape" reality because he was already there.

It could also be interpreted as he ran away from the characters in the suicide pact because they were already dead, so beyond his realm / concern / whatever you care to call it (putting as spoiler because I'm not sure everyone here has seen every episode).

My guess is he tried to kill Maniwa many times before then. Which is significant, since he's not trying to relief Maniwa of any problem, or save him. Lil' Slugger might actually see Maniwa as a threat to his existence, and tries to get rid of him. But because of how much Maniwa knows about him, he can't really do that.
