I've heard alot of complaints about the fact that Jak hooks up with Ashland instead of Keira at the end of Jak 3. However, I think that it makes perfect sence for Jak not to hook up with Keira. Keira and Jak were both raised by Samos and therefore would practically be brother and sister. Granted they are not biologically related but I'm sure that they would probably see each other as siblings rather than as potential lovers.
shareKeira character just wasn't used that much in Jak 3 (it could be because she got a different voice actor or Naughty Dog didn't have any use for her) but Ashland was Jak's connection to haven city when he was oucasted. So she (Ashland) played a bigger part and was always around; and since Keria wasn't around this may be the reason why it seemed like Jak and Ashland became lovers.
But luckily N.D. listens to their fans and Keria was used a lot more in Jak X (they also resolve the whole love triangle).
