i think it would only work as a cartoon series
sharei agree. cartoon or even comic book series sounds good. theres to much to put in a movie and if it gets cut down it would spoil it.

This is gonna sound really freakin whack, but me and my friend were going to start working on a script for a Jak and Daxter movie because, even though we're only 13 (well, im fourteen at the end of the month) we still love the series and I've actually been told by a lot of people that I can write pretty well (check http://www.deviantart.com/view/26329085/ for a writing sample). However, we read the circumstances for contacting them at Naughty Dog and they saaid we'd have to give up all rights to it and not even get credits or anything for it so we said screw it. However Insomniac games is being cool about contacting them and we might start a script for a Ratchet and Clank movie. We're not doing it just for the money or anything like that, but theres not really any good Game-movies out there and cause we actually play the game we put stuff from the game in it, E.g every story mission would be in it, and even stuff we've all had to do in the games at some point.

There was a DVD version of the trilogy, with commentary by daxter that came with the JakX game... but wouldn't be classed as a movie. I think possibly thats the closest thing to a movie we are gonna get, guys...

id love for there to be a movie it would be wicked. im planning on being a director someday so maybe in like a decade... i wouldn't hold my breath.

I dont know about a movie, but I think Daxter deserves his own tv show or comic.
Daxter is getting his own video game. That's enough for him.
I think every game would make for a great movie. But it'd require some serious changes to keep it from dragging on, something you don't mind in a game. F.e. Finding 20 powercells to get over the Lava Canyon shouldn't be in a Precursor Legacy movie.

Only diehard fans of the games should be able to write the scripts, because they wouldnt mess around with anything. They would know to stick to the game script, despite the fact that it would kind of be plajurism, it would still be true to the fans. Every game they want made into a movie theyshould do 1 of 2 things, get the same person who scripted the game to write the movie, or use the game script and edit out any insignificant parts
