Man Oh Man

I know that I am a sad, pathetic old man but I just got the PC version of this game - my daughter loves the Incredibles and although she is only 4, she has fun running around in the game.

Anywayproblem here is obviously with me - I seem to have a terrible time with jumping in the hotel fire. I am using a gamepad on the PC, so it is not a keyboard response issue or anything. I just seem to keep jumping off crap. In particular, I can't seem to get past the two swinging "ceiling fixtures" which I assume are near the end of the level (or I assume it is the end). Any advice how to better line up for these jumps or is there some trick to it? I know all the cheat codes and crap, I just want to be able to actually get through this legit, and all I can think of is that I am missing some obvious thing. Or is it just a really aggravating section that I just have to get timed right? Is there a way to make Bob swing further on those fixtures once you grab one? Are there some message boards or places somewhere I can find other idiots like myself who can mooch info off of other more experienced players? I keep getting loads and loads of crap when I try to find help sites.

I am thinking I don't even want to go and meet up with Omnibot v8 or whatever it is that someone mentioend at the volcano, but the fighting parts I have no problem with. Just a note, for anyone near my ancient-ness: I also sucked at Pitfall :P
