Changes to game


If you could make any changes to the plot, characters, places or overall game, what would they be?

My changes would be as follows:

1.Being able to explore the Tombs of Ajunta Pall, Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow and Tulak Hord on Korriban.

2.Master Lonna Vash and Kaah Ohtok (her apprentice (cut content)) surviving and appearing on Dantooine (LS of course).

3.Learning of Nihilus's upcoming attack on Telos BEFORE going into the Enclave and going to Telos to fight Atris (Though quite a bit of the plot would have to be changed before that).

4.After defeating Atris and choosing the light side path, Kavar, Vrook, Vash, Kaah and Zez-Kai Ell arriving to stop you, though Atris manages to talk them out of it.

5. All cut characters and alternate characters in party (Except Mira/Hanharr of course).

And that's all basically.

i would have made the defense of Telos the games finale and left malachor V to be explored in KotOR 3. Imo it just felt like a good place for a natural conclusion, everybody you had dealings with show up to help, carth and Bastila are there. Nihilus should have been the last boss fight and he should have been a lot tougher.

I've never liked the Malachor level, for a whole load of reasons: it's seriously creepy; playing as a floating tennis ball for a part of the game that's incomplete is soo stupid; and as for the Exile; by the time you make it that far, you're virtually invincible; wasting through Sith troops like the terminator.

I'm not sadistic: just really vindictive.

Malachor's um, alright in my opinion, but that is your opinion and you are free to say so.

Another change I would make is being able to explore: The Grove, Sandral Estate, Dreshdae and the Rakatan Stap Map Ruins.

I can understand folks liking Malachor, but to me it just leaves too many unanswered questions and stuff. We never see what exactly happened between GOTO and the remote, (Even though most peeps know HK turns up along with his clones; they can't shoot him & he blows up GOTO... "Exclamation: You are all clear, droid; now let us blow this planet and go home.") or what the big deal was with Mira/Hanharr, things like that. Mostly because of deleted content I suppose... That's probably why all those doors on Dantooine can't be opened for exploring too.

I'm not sadistic: just really vindictive.

hmmm...

1) Less buggy.

2) Restore cut content.

3) HK is supposed to be like a super-elite assassin droid. Granted, he's been badly damaged, but come on, T3 couldn't fix him up? He deserves better than *beep* stats and crappy leveling. What does he get, like 2 feats in the whole game? HK should have been tougher.

4) if I make my party members Dark Jedi, or just influence the non-jedi ones to be dark, they should not still be saying light-side things in conversation.

5) If I take the time to make Atton, Bao Dur, Handmaiden, Disciple, or whoever, into a Jedi, they had damn well better be at my side when I'm on Malachor V.

6) Some of the characters don't really match up with what they should be. Like Disciple..he's a solder. You spend the game giving him fighting feats, strength, etc...then you make him a jedi and he's a friggin useless consular because you put all your points into strength, dex, etc...or Mandalore. He has a dex of 12, yet he unremovable armor gives a 0 bonus. WTF is that? Sure I can use the upgrade to give it +1, but I'd rather use it for....something USEFUL!

7) Bao Dur should be less annoying. Not only does he never say anything useful, he has basically no story and he's just a dork, but like...whoever voiced him did a terrible job too. He reminds me of that annoying kid in high school who was always making stuff up about how cool he was.

8) Get rid of some of the annoying parts of the game, like where you just have to run and run and run through malachor v...and then do it again. God forbid you forget to kill a storm beast and he mauls the remote. Or where you slowly plod along in a spacesuit.

9) It seems like they made all the enemies in the game relative to your level. Like they'll save the same amount vs. your force lightning whether you're level 1 with a wisdom and charisma of 8, or level 50 with wisdom and char of 30. I wish they'd change that. If I go to the trouble of making a kicka$$ character I want him to kick a$$!

10) Give me a friggin lightsaber sooner! I don't want to go through 2 planets and then like half of a third before I get one.

11) Same with making your characters into Jedi. If god forbid you did Nar Shadaa last, you get to use Darth Atton for all of five minutes. Yay.

One more thing I'd change....

Let your party members do more. If I don't have the repair skill to repair T3, then Mira can do it. Maybe I don't have a good dominate mind power, but guess what, Kreia does! Let her take the dialogue and do it. Stuff like that.

The romances should have been more. With Bastila you could turn her away from the dark side using the romance as a reason and you had a kiss(which faded into black). In this game the romances just don't feel finished and feel unnatural.

Korriban should also be much bigger. It seemed really short and was kind of a let-down.

Some more of my changes:

Vandar NOT attending the conclave on Katarr, attending the council who exiled the Jedi Exile, hiding on Korriban with 4 other jedi (instead of Vash and Kaah), and surviving along with other council members (see the first post for council member details)

Dustil Onasi being restored on Korriban (Similar to Kaevee on Dantooine), being able to spare him and telling him to go to the Enclave on Dantooine.

Lonna Vash and Kaah Ohtok being restored on M4-78 and surviving.

Finding force-sensitive NPC's and send them to the Enclave.

Being able to convert Sith.

- Make the game twice as long so you can actually get to know the characters, play around with influence, and experience your epic level character for more than the last hour.

- Make the influence system actually work, so that the party members don't say the same damn thing over and over. (Could be solved by making the game longer and giving more opportunities.)

- Romance, make it go somehwere. All these set ups, like Atton and the Discliple, and they go nowhere. Or Mira and the Handmaiden if you're a dude, possibly Visas, again they go no where.

- Make Nihilus MUCH MUCH harder. Damn he went down fast, he should be nearly impossible.

I know what you mean with Nihilus. I mean, come on. Colonel Tobin was a enemy npc and he has a *beep* of vitality points more than Nihilus and he isn't even a sith.

1. Make the dark side transition a little more subtle and less obvious. I want to be able to manipulate people, not just be a dick all the time and steal money from people. Honestly, the dark side isn't just about being a thug. It's almost laughable the things you have to do to gain that extra nudge to the dark side. "Can you help us off this planet?" "No!" *Dark side points gained* WTF? Horrible lol. This was a problem for the first one too, and I was disappointed that they didn't manage to improve on it a little bit more.

2. Having the option to PICK which characters you want to join your party. It sucked that when playing as the female Exile you were stuck with that idiot Mical. I wanted Handmaiden dammit! GOTO was pretty much useless. Waste of ship space. Waste of animation. Period.

3. Being able to have more control over the romances (like in the first one). All of a sudden Visas starts to declare her love for me? Where did THAT come from? There wasn't even any good dialogue to tease or flirt with the other characters.

4. Less buggy game, of course.

5. Restore the cut content.

6. A little bit more freedom in your actions, like being able to attack anyone even if they're a member of your party.

7. Being more directly involved in the training session with your hopeful Jedi/Dark Jedi converts. I want something like the training with Handmaiden where you can train the other members into Jedi. It's just silly how all of a sudden the force awakens in them and then the next day they're able to wield a lightsaber.

8. Some better or more effective force powers than Plague or throw lightsaber, which are completely useless.

As above, plus my personal add-in: Make Peragus less mind-numbingly boring.
How much of that running around in your undies, smashing droids & stuff was all that necessary? Then when you get to pick your first force power, 90% of the time you'll pick droid attack stuff.
I don't play the second game near as much as the first one; mostly because until I get to that frozen mesa on Telos, I can't seem to get into the game as much.

Oh yeah I was trying to remember what that first level was called. Haven't played the game in over a year, mainly because the first level sucks any replay value out of the game. Seriously, Peragus was even worse than the first level planet in KOTOR 1 (what was it called again?).

1.Fix bugs like:
a.not being able to open a container because I don't know how to go around something.
b.make medpacks actually work sometimes
c.be able to rename save games when you've reached the max number of savegames
d.actually respond to what I want it to do. If I want to use a shield, that doesn't mean attack with little to no life left, then activate the shield.

2.Improve the AI-in stationary mode, why would i attack an enemy thats far away when im about to die? Have your companions actually help you in the fighting. There have been times I've seen characters im not controlling just stand there while their companion takes a beating.

3.Have a story that is interesting and makes sense.

4.Decrease the number of characters and focus on improving the relationships between them.

5.Have the option to kill GoTo(the droid first, then the actual exchange boss)

6.Have the option to kill Visas after she talks too much about being obedient but never listens to a thing you say.

7.With enough charisma/influence/persuasion be able to get it on with handmaiden, or at least touch her booty.

8.End the game on the ravager, and make Darth Nihilus actual boss material.

9.Explain what Darth Nihilus was doing in the game story wise.

10.Don't make Mira such a weak character.

11.Don't have armor restrict force powers.

12.Have the option of just killing Kreia at some point so we wouldn't be exposed to the *beep* storyline.

13.Have a cameo by darth vader.

14.Have Darth Revan appear.

15.If you are light side, have the option of having all the jedi masters join you.

16.Have the option of impaling that snotty little girl you met at narshadaa with your lightsaber, and dragging her corpse to her mother for a lot of dark side points. Same thing goes for Lootra.

17.Have the option of killing Vogga the Hutt.

18.Having to fight resurrected versions of the dark jedi in their tombs and getting some powerful and unique armor or lightsaber crystals.

19.Take that hood off of visas so we can see what her eyes look like.

20.Have the option of Darth Sion joining your party after defeating him, then being able to convert him to light side and have his appearance go back to human form.

Just to point out, Movieguy, G0T0 'is' the droid. He was the droid intelligence that the Ithorians lost because it got too smart. (Kinda like Skynet I suppose...) Then he went off and started/joined the Exchange under an assumed identity. That's why we only see his 'true' form as a hologram. I just wish they'd left in the scene on Malachor, where he tries to outmanoeuvre HK47 with the HK50s, only to have it backfire...

I'm just wondering how G0-T0 became such a high-ranking Exchange boss so quickly. From the content in the game, it seems that it wasn't too long ago that the Ithorians lost the droid intelligence, but then maybe that's just me.

Has anyone ever been a female exile and watched her dance for Vogga the Hutt . . . .

1.don't rush the ending as much, there was no time between each of the big action scenes

2.don't have each and every person drop remains. I get anal about such things and feel like I have to collect every pack of remains that I come across. i especially hate it when all you get is med packs or a grenade.

3.An actual ending, not just Kreia explaining everythings fate and then the Ebon Hawk flying into space, that made me extremely mad that I spent 30+ hours on running around and doing missions to see a five second cut scene that doesn't even tell me if everyone is alright.

4.more interaction with my companions, I don't like how Brianna basically states her love for you then all you can do is ask her about fighting or Atris.

5.give me a cool piece of armor that doesn't block force powers, the jal shey stuff was alright but I want something that protects me alot, looks cool, and allows force powers

6.Harder Bosses, the three sith lords were easy and IF i got low on health all I had to do was to run around and spam the force heal until i was battle ready again

7.Better cameos: Carth, Canderous, and Bastila were nice to see, but what about Jolee, Mission and the rest. I hardly believe that they all went to live peaceful lives only five years after helping revan.

Speaking of remains; it always bugs me that nobody seems to drop anything useful, other than stims or medpacks. In the first one when you took out a Sith, you'd get to pull a lightsaber of his corpse. In this one, you do favours for 'key' characters and they'll give you one: where'd they all get sabers from?! (I'm not even gonna mention how often I've reloaded those points because I didn't want a double/short saber!!!)

Interaction definitely could be improved; at least on the first one, you could ask your team about the planets & stuff: with this one, as soon as they're Jedi, they're suddenly not so talkative...

As for Cameos; depending on how you state that the original game went, Mission, Z and the two Jedi could be dead; or at least Mish and the Wook'll have followed Revan into the unknown regions: Z's got a lifedebt and Mission isn't leaving Zaalbar again, is she?

I'm agreeing with you completely on the Bosses; Darth *can't pronounce it* was set up as *The* big villain of the piece, before the game was released. What did we end up with? Someone who gibbers nonsense a couple of times, takes five minutes to kill and depending on if you like her or not; can get rid of Visas for you. (Notice how his name is never said out loud?)

Scion: just wierd. First time you can't kill him *coz he's on Korriban*, so you either waste your medpaks fighting him, or do like I do and bug out.
Then at the end, he takes another five minutes, mostly talking him to death???

And Kreia? Eh?! Three flying lightsabers? Oh-kay...

My hardest fight on the game is always Vrook; it's gotten to the point where I use an old tactic I found useful against Malak, and lay mines around the room before the fight...

I think the main thing they could do to fix the game is finish it. I love the story, I love the characters, but... it doesn't go anywhere in the end. I'd like to see the cut content, I'd like to be able to romance Atton (and to have people react to the romances... there's a little of that already in the game, like where Mira told my light side female exile she thought the Exile had been "hooking power couplings" with Atton, but I was thinking more in terms of jealousy, like the cut ending where Atton duels Mical), have an option to support the revolution on Onderon without killing Kavar, and be able to use your allies' skills more.
But... no offense... I think some things are unrealistic. I think that if Darth Sion turned away from the dark side, he'd literally fall apart (because isn't it the dark side energy keeping him together and alive?). And Visas doesn't have eyes; she's a Miraluka.

For the first game I would change were you could continue to level up past 20. Add an epilogue at the end of the game to show what each characters are up to for LS ending. Small thing but show the actual kiss between your character and Bastilla.

For the second game. I still haven't beaten it yet. stuck during the fight with Kreia on Malachor V. After I finished it and play it through again I'll repky again for the second game.
