Unfortunately, the parents' guide for this movie is empty. I have bought it on DVD, but I am not sure whether I should watch it alone or with my kids, so I am hoping you can help me out.
My kids are 8 and 10 years old. Are there any very violent scenes in this movie? By that I mean more violent than e.g. fist fights and non-graphic shootings. And how about sex/nudity?

It's definitely NOT a child appropriate movie. They would also be bored to tears. I realize you wrote your post 4 months ago, but hopefully you glanced at the wikipedia summary or used common sense that it's rated R, and watched it without your children.

shareThat's a good idea. Because it's not just whether the movie is age-appropriate, it's also about whether they'll appreciate what the film has to offer. An example would be how I tried reading The Great Gatsby at 13, but gave up because I found it boring. I tried reading it again at 17, and it caught my attention much more than earlier. If I had tried watching Land of the Blind at 10, 14, or even 16, I wouldn't have appreciated it or understood it as much as I did when I finally did see it at 18.
