BFF? Nobody said this back in 1995!

Am I the only one that caught this? Nobody had ever said this retarded phrase back then. Hell, it wasn't even coined until a few years ago on the internets. And internets back in 1995 was pretty much still non-existant, aside from IRC and Usenet.

Other than that, this wasn't too bad a movie. I don't even remember it being in theaters though. Probably because the time it was released, I was doing 50 hour work weeks and watching all my shows via internets, which meant, no adverts at all.

I hear BFF all the time in 2007 on Myspace.

Actually, we did say it. But we said it like this "BIFF".

LOL, inside joke- my friends and I wrote our names on a swingset and put B.F.F. Then another friend read it when we were done and said "what is that? BIFF??????" So it was used but not in Paris and Nicole terms.

Actually, the phrase "BFF" has been around a lot longer than a few years. We did use it back in the 90's, mainly writing the phrase under our names in notes we wrote to each other to pass in class, and in each other's yearbooks. So it's very plausible for it to be used in the movies.

Ahh I see. It must've been one those regional phrases, because I certainly don't remember it at all.

Then again, I didn't have a "best friend" let alone a hot female friend that looked like Amy Smart back in 1995. :(

I definitely used BFF back around '95 when my friends and I wrote notes to each other in jr high. we used BFF and LYLAS (love ya like a sister) haha and other weird stuff like that

NO, NO, NO, young friend, this phrase was coined much before those days. The phrase BFF was written on many a letter that was folded up very precisely into a diamond, and handed off to one's BFF of choice or moment.

OH yeah we used BFF all the time back then. Mostly my sisters though. But I've heard it many a time. Those were the good ole days.

The phrase "best friends forever" has been around at least since the 1960s. I've seen it written in older year books. What's different in the internet age is using BFF as a noun. Calling people BFF and whatnot is newish.

It's not like a lot of English was invented after 1995. It's just changed a little.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
