Let's discuss the Grudge

Not much activity on any of the boards, and low ratings for all films, and I'm feeling lonely. So the trend of remaking Japanese horror films trend is over, are there any other people out there who visit this board and still like the films? If the reboot happens, what are your feelings, should it continue after the 2nd or horrible third sequel? I hope they disregard the third film, and continue after the first or second, perhaps the police officer in the first film now has a grown daughter that investigates her father's death?

Having the main character have a sister we never heard of was cheap, and the whole film was poorly done, and they replaced the actress, but who can blame her...

the third one was excellent

The third film is admittedly lower in budget. But it's not that bad. It was alright. I liked the cast.

I have no idea what they will do with the alleged reboot. There are so many films in the original series now.
