let allison out of the closet? shouldnt she have just killed her like she did to yoko in the first?

There may be a really good explanation, but I like to think that Kayako pitied Allison, as it wasn't Allison's intention to mock the deaths of Kayako and her son.

Peraps in life Kayako had always wanted to visit Chicago, and she knew Allison was her ticket? lol

At the end of the movie remember it was really Aubrey in the attic with Allison.

I think she was let out because Kayako knew she would get out and spread the curse.
