If the bombardier beetle can exist, so could dragons

If the bombardier beetle can cause tiny explosions, why not a cretaure that breathes fire?

I agree, but the method they present is entirely unlikely. A combination of flammable venoms would be more likely as an animal that uses hydrogen bladders to fly would only have enough to maintain their altitude. The first time they let out a blast of fire they wouldn't be able to fly anymore and therefore would be nearly unable to hunt in order to build up their stores again and would die, thereby removing themselves from the evolutionary line.

No, I don't think the animal could fly if it did exist. Breathing smoke and fire, maybe; flying, no.

venoms mixing and contacting air to create fire yep, very plausible and was used in the explanation of how they breathe fire in reign of fire as for flying, yep that too is plausible ,think of the flying squirrel ,while not actually capable of flight it can however glide due to excess skin along it's sides and the inspiration for the glider suits used today .

Don't scare me....i poop easily
