A.K.A. FORCE OF IMPACT

I saw this film in Canada with the title Force of Impact, even the opening title sequence had that title. Yet EVERY web site I see doesn't even have this title as an A.K.A. (DVD empire, amazon U.S. AND Canada,Atlantic DVD, sendit even DVD fr etc...)

I've been notticing this sort of thing alot lately, like One Point o A.K.A. Paranoia 1.0 or Solar Attack A.K.A. Solar Strike

There are two separate versions of the movie, one called Force of Impact the other Deadly Skies. The basic difference is that in the "Deadly Skies" version the two male characters are gay lovers, while in the "Force of Impact" version the male and female characters become an item. There are probabley no more than six scenes that are different between the two movies. I believe this structure was adopted to widen the film's distributin opportunities.

Are these two films or are they close enough to have "Force of Impact" listed as an alternative title for Deadly Skies (2005)

reply

Other than the sexual orientation of two characters being different and some nude scenes that are cut from "Force of Impact," the two films (Force of Impact and Deadly Skies) are the same, the plot is the same and 90% scenes are identical. It's likely Force of Impact is near enough to be listed as an alternate version of Deadly Skies.

Ok, I'm hoping to buy Deadly Skies on dvd with Michael Moriarty so from these threads I should be getting the correct one. Is he in the film a lot? All descriptions are a little vague.

Does anyone know if any scenes with Dominic Zamprogna are cut? And does anyone know where we can see the Deadly Skies uncensored version? Thanks!

Zamprogna isn't in any scenes that would change from one version to the other. And Deadly Skies is currently available from Here! TV on Warner Cable's "On Demand."

Another example of alternate titles is the british action movie "Who Dare Wins" A.K.A. "The Final Option" (USA title). This movie is great and it very hard to find. Action movie about terrorist and the British SAS in action.

If anyone knows where I can get this on DVD please let me know !

They cut out all the gay scenes in Force of Impact, but if you go into the chapter menu on the DVD, you can see the gay scenes are there as a selection. But when you click on it, you don't get those scenes.

I think the distributor is lousy. It's bad enough to have 1 bad film, they have to release 2 identical bad ones.
