Was it ever revealed who had killed the little girl in bed? I know the father was suspected. Were they saying that handyman killed his mom and made it look like she had died from exposure? Then he someone killed others on that date. And how did the handyman cause the spirits to appear? Evidently they did since the mother was able to communicate with her little girl and find she was okay. And when the handyman was shot it seemed like one of the spirits (his mother?) was hurt too.

Yeah, it was an okay film. I've seen plenty worse. One complaint I have is that they did the same scare technique one to many times. It got to the point where you expected something to pop up at you every so often with a loud noise.

No, it was never revealed who killed the little girl. I almost wonder if Jim, the handyman, was responsible for this as a means to lure Allen & Julie to the mountain cabin - it seems that in the articles that Allen found it was mentioned that folks who came to live there had experienced some kind of loss -starting with the man who lived there for 23 years, he fell into a depression - and that somehow put them on Jim's list. I think the spirits were there because they were restless, since they had been murdered and were tied to their murderer. I'm not conviced that Jim killed his mother, I thought he was killing to avenge her death - because it is pretty disturbing for a child to find his mother dead like that. But, I could be very wrong on that theory.
