Wow. They really overused that trick.


Alright, so, many horror movies as of late (the Grudge, the Ring, etc.) have shown us it's really creepy when one of the main characters is doing something in the foreground, and something creepy happens in the background, only to have the creepy thing disappear once the main character turns around. (Extra points if the main character does a double-take, or otherwise realises something was amiss, but is otherwise oblivious as to what happened.)

This movie, however, uses that trope EVERY TEN SECONDS. Only once or twice does anyone ever acknowledge that something just happened- usually, it's just there to give the audience a (cheap) scare. Except that once it happens two or three times, it's not scary anymore, whether it was in the first place.

Anyone else agree?

I agree. Creepy things happening behind someone only to disappear when they look around. REALLY annoying how much this movie used that trick.
