Worst Zombie movie ever?

This movie was poorly filmed using a crap camera. The plot was horrible even for a science fiction film. It's not even a b flick, more like a z flick. The so called S.W.A.T. team had the lamest, fakest, uniforms I've ever seen.It should of lasted 98 minutes less. TERRIBLE!!!!

At least it is better than Rise of the Undead. That is the worst Zombie Movie Ever

reply

No that would be oasis of the dead. This was awesome. Also what do you expect on a low low budget. I envy these people.

reply

Wow.
You obviously haven't seen that many zombie movies.
"Zombie Chronicles" is a hundred times worse.
If you think "Bone Sickness" is the worst,
you would probably hang yourself if you saw "Zombie Chronicles".

reply

You guys are all wrong. "Zombiez" is EASILY the worst zombie movie I've evr encountered, this is a masterpiece in comparison. I'm serious I can't express how dumb Zombiez was. You can see the Zombies smiling and laughing when chasing people because the director clearly hired random friends to be zombies. Also, there is a scene where a guy walks around in a chicken outfit for no clear purpose, and IT IS NOT for comedic effect as it might sound.

How does this compare to Zombie Strippers?

Zombie Strippers is awesome and you know it. And it has a MUCH higher budget than Bone Sickness.
For an uber-low budget film this wasn't that bad. It was too long tho at 1h44 including credits. You'd expect it to be more in the 1h20 range.

Don't understand the hate people spread towards independant filmmakers.
Yes I've seen better movies, yes the acting wasn't very good for the most part, yes it looked cheap. But keeping in mind the budget Paulin had to work with, this is impressive stuff. 90% of these no-budget movies are plain bad, true. But Bone Sickness is actually one that works. It is gruesome, creative,...the atmosphere is nightmarish. It has its faults, sure. But what do you expect from someone who has to fund and produce a movie almost all by himself with some friends' help?
Paulin at least shows heart for the horror genre and -contrary to what lots of no-budget filmmakers do- doesn't mock it. For that, Bone Sickness deserves its place in the echelon of splatter movies. It won't end on top ( like Braindead for instance), but it still deserves its place.

@arne_seneca, The hate is because if you're going to make a movie this bad, don't make it at all! Don't you understand arne_seneca that a movie has to have some entertainment value? Unless you're watching it for naked girls, there's nothing this garbage has to offer and I'm a Horror Movie nut, especially Zombies. Yes, upon reflection, I resent that they made this movie and got my interest and wasted my time. You don't just make and sell a movie because there's a camera laying there!

reply

You say Paulin shows heart. That's a crock of *beep* You must be his friend, because all people like this do is give the Horror Genre a black eye. Movies like this are why mainstream people dismiss the genre. And I for one don't appreciate the stigma that Horror bares, of being low-brow, of being lesser quality and not taken seriously.

Maybe a little effort. That would be a good place to start. Look at Peter Jackson's no budget first film, Bad Taste. I would argue that Jackson's film was even more of a "no budget backyard film" than Bone Sickness. Also, Jackson did not have the luxury of shooting on digital video and computer editing software. He used a damn Bolex wind up 16 mm, incapable of synchronized sound, built every last special effect himself, and put nothing short of his own blood, sweat, and tears into the production. What was the end result? A heralded cult masterpiece. This looks like some jerk off quickly shot "scenes" on home video, and edited them in a blender, with utter disregard for the finished product.

I don't know about "spread the hate", but just because someone is an independent film maker, doesn't mean they should be exempt to criticism. And don't blame the budgetary restrictions; many independent film makers have done more with less... Sometimes all you need is a story and characters with some heart, and the rest falls into place.
