Bell Witch Haunting Movie

There are bad reviews all over the internet about this movie. People saying things from they didn't know whether to laugh or scream to people walking out on it. I think some people think that reviewers are the only ones who can judge if a movie is enjoyable or not. The public is the main key if a movie makes it or not. This movie has even been confused with another one pertaining to this story. People honestly mistook the other production for this one and actually left bad reviews for it. Also, Do you honestly think that an internet site that is selling this movie is going to list a bad review about it and hurt the sales. I don't know if you can call someone threatened or immature for telling the truth. If I made an attempt to make a film to entertain. I would say that I made a attempt. I have watched low budget trash flicks to big name productions all my life. This movie is a low budget. I don't think it will ever have a cult following like other low budgets because the elements are not there. If the movie is doing so well maybe I'll have some luck and get someone to buy it. In order to get the $25.00 I paid for it back. I better not let them watch it first. What a waste! Sincerely, A movie Buff.

You couldn't have said it any better. I noticed that the Director has even been on this message board defending this movie and in the comments are the people who are selling it. You know that alone proves it is real bad when the marketer and Director have to go around on web-sites to defend it. This movie is something to be ashamed of. Do you think he would give us a refund if we reply to him on this message board since it is supposed to be doing as good as "Titanic" he should have no trouble selling it right. They got us. This listing is under attack from the makers of “Bell Witch: The Movie” another film on the same subject that has not been released. All of the negative reviews and comment attacking the film as “the worst movie ever made” have all been made by the same person attempting to undermine “The Bell Witch Haunting”. Any review with the comment “This may contain spoilers” for example (I suppose they think people read those comments). We have received nothing but praise from people who have purchased the movie, the present owners of the Bell property and Pat Fitzhugh, who has written several books on the haunting; as well as, other movie reviewers. It is unfortunate for people that are interested in the story, that they are being falsely lead. Not everyone has liked everything about the film and that is fine, I did not expect them to. Although we did not make a perfect movie, all legitimate reviews have said it was well written and will be enjoyed by anyone who wants to find out about the legend of the Bell Witch. Reviews can be found on chillercinema.com, bellwitch.org, horror.com and other sites (none of these people are connected to the film). I am not sure why the creators of “Bell Witch: The Movie” have found it necessary to undermine and attack our film, but they obviously have more time than I do, so this will be my only response to the comments and false reviews which will, I’m sure, continue to be made, so this will be posted several times on this site. We have just finished editing and securing a distributor for our next project “Nightmares from the Mind of Poe”, but it will not be listed on IMDB and I regret listing this film. A lot of people worked hard on this project and they, nor the film, deserve these false remarks, and I have better things to do then answer them (like make films). We have also been asked by the City Of Adams (where the haunting took place) to perform our play on the Bell Witch (which the film was based on) in Adams. They contacted us after seeing the film and were very complementary. So the production will be performed this October on part of what was the Bells actual property (with some of John Bells direct descendants involved). I’d say that is a pretty good endorsement. Anyone interested in the Bell Witch, if you do not buy the film or even if you do, I suggest purchasing one of the books, it is truly the most amazing ghost story ever. Thanks for your interest and God Bless! - Ric White, director, “The Bell Witch Haunting”

All I know is: "BW:The Movie" has some big shoes to fill if it wants to be even close to "The Bell Witch Haunting". Just from what I've read, I'm not impressed. I mean really: Why cast someone in the part of the Bell Witch? She never showed her face and was constantly speaking in different voices.
I'll have to find it and then pass judgement.

Refusal to believe does not negate the truth.
