Expectation of Real Nightmares

I believe everyone will be surprised with this one. Each episode features a mini-biography of 3 people, each tormented by recurring dreams and/or phobias. The contestants are then led through a sequence of re-enactments of their actual dreams/phobias. Different people from different parts of the country and very different lives....don't wanna miss it!!!

I love the nightmare movies, every single one of them. I'm a huge Freddy mark. Love Englund, but I have no faith in this show. I'll definitely watch, but I just know it'll fail. Too bad, I actually like the concept.

I wish there were a new version of Freddy's Nightmares, but like a good version. Really, the plot ideas of over half the original Freddy's Nightmares weren't that bad. The show just needed some good production values and better directing. I could make a Freddy's Nightmares show a huge success. Too bad Hollywood probably won't let me in.

The first change I'd make on a new Freddy's Nightmares is to have Freddy as the predominant character in every episode. In the original series, he was only a character in the actual story for 7 episodes (out of like 44).

Then, I'd stay fully consistant with the Nightmare movies. I'd try to do the series as sort of an "in-between the Nightmare movies" show. The first few seasons would serve as the Nightmare 1 prequel. A whole season could be dedicated to Fred Krueger from birth to his first murders as an adult. Second Season picks up where he's the killer that all the parents are looking for. Show him actually drown Jason Voorhees as he works at Camp Crystal lake, etc. End the 2nd Season with Fred on Trial and the case thrown out because of the technicality. Freddy gets burned to death by the parents of Springwood. End 2nd Season, with just a teaser indication that Freddy, the man of our dreams, is coming.

Begin 3rd Season with Freddy Krueger, the dream stalker. End the 3rd season with him tormenting a girl named Tina (the first girl in Nightmare 1). 4th Season picks up between Nightmare 1 and 2, ends with Jesse moving in.

5th Season picks up between Nightmare 2 and 3. 6th between 3 & 4 (or maybe not here since he came back pretty quickly in those movies). So between 4 and 5 I guess could work. Then a good season between 5 and 6. Maybe a couple seasons since it's like 10 years supposedly. End the season before Nightmare 6 with Freddy finishing off most the kids of Springwood.

Season after Nightmare 6 could be Freddy in Hell. He meets Jason. Skip past Freddy vs. Jason to where Jason is carrying Freddy's head and Freddy winks. "You've got the body and I've got the brain" says Freddy, repeating what he said in Nightmare 2. Perhaps Freddy overtakes Jason's form, creating a Freddy/Jason superevil hybrid (maybe not, might be too damn cheesy).

Get a new Freddy movie, with a new twist on the nightmare rules. Freddy wants to be brought out of dreams and into reality so that he can kill more. Killing him in reality doesn't really kill him (this would explain why he has been brought out of his dreams 2-3 times now and killed, but still lived). He wanted out of his dream world so he could come to the real world and kill. Pretty good idea. Makes sense. He's limited in the dream world to only those that dream about him. In the real world, he can kill those who don't even know about him. Then he can escape by going into the dream world at his own will. But he needs someone to bring him out of dreams.

Okay just throwing around ideas. Bored as hell if you can't tell.

I've always imagined that. I'd love if someone made a prequel to the nightmare movies. It would rock the Casbah! I know his whole life al;ready...which is why I'd like to see someone make a movie out of it. Just imagine, from his mother's raping to his childhood of bullied ness(poor him). From the janitor days to his killing spree as the slasher. From the trial to his death. It would be awesome! They could even show the articles at the time of the Springwood Slasher's spree, and....okay I'll stop now :)

Point is. It'd be awesome*hopes some movie-maker is reading this, lmao*

If they were making another fictional TV series, I personally would like to know more about the dream demons which gave Freddy the power to kill people in their dreams. They are briefly mentioned and shown in "Freddy's Dead".

We could see how Freddy went from death to being a demon himself. Hopefully the majority of this would take place in Hell.

Somehow I think this back-story would work better in a TV episode, as I can't think of any reason for it to be mentioned in a new movie. Too many sequels have passed since the dream demons were first brought to our attention.

Whatever happens, more Freddy can't be a bad thing in my book - or DVD collection!

If I were to make a prequel, I'd have it follow not Freddy as a main character, but someone else who was part of the mob who eventually killed Freddy. Maybe a reporter who had followed the entire story, beginning to end, and he, in part, had found out about Fred. I wouldn't make it hokey in anyway, I'd want it to be creepy and atmospheric... the contrast between the normal, suburban life during the day, bright, vibrant colors, and then the dark night, with various creepy atmospheric details, and Fred always seeming to be the one person who is between the two. During the day, he wears bright colors, he (fakely) pretends to be just another suburbianite, like all the rest of the town's people.

At night, he is found to drive around in an ice cream truck (On weekends as a side-job to his janitorial position) and it all eventually culminates into his trial, and eventual release. The movie would end with him being burned alive, and then a laugh, with Freddy saying something like; "Soon... I will come back for my children..."

Well I take it you do not know how many Freddy Movies are out there. YOU onlt mentioned 6 freddy movies and then the Freddy vs. Jason movie... What about the 7th movie of the Freddy series!?!
The seven movies that are in ta boxed set plus the Freddy vs Jason are the following. 1) A Nightmare On Elm Street, 2) A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, 3) A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, 4) A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, 5) A Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Child, 6) Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare, 7) Wes Craven's New Nightmare, and then the Freddy vs Jason movie. Somehow you would have to make a season out of New Nightmare how Freddy huants Heather/Nancy's life.
