I am confused -- Melissa is 25 and Jackson is almost 27 ... what are they still doing in high school??
shareUm, I think your the menatally challenged one. The actress who played Melissa is 25 (Kristy Wu) and the actor who played Jackson is 26 actually (Johnny Pacar).
Mellissa and Jackson are only characters who are 16 yrs old and in high school from the t.v. show. They're not real people. Understand?

Johnny Pacar is going to be 27 in next couple of months (hence the "almost 27" comment, lol).
Just seems odd that there are not enough teenage actors to play teenagers that they need to use ones in their mid to late 20s.
I don't see whats wrong with actors in their 20s or 30s playing high school or college students.

Its actually pretty common to get ol;der actors because they have more life experience. I know in the Blue Lagoon, quite similaractually, Brooke Shields said on the commentary that she didn't have her period yet but she had to a scene where she got it. Its just easier ot have the older actors because not only would they have experienced stuff but they can be better actors, plus having ten fifteen year olds running around on a hawaiin island probably wouldn't be all that great.
