Quote in the beginning?

Could someone who was quick enough to pick up on the quote in the beginning(before the opening credits) and had good enough memory to remember it all the way through the film please write or paraphrase it here, or at least tell me the gist of it? It was far too long for me to remember, and there's no part of this film I want to be unsure of.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
