Other Equally Great, Yet Bizarre Games...

After playing this I feel compelled to create a list of other fun foreign games that are strange as hell, yet wonderfully original and extremely fun to play, and usually extremely stylistic. Generally, this includes a good soundtrack as well, though not always.

This and it's sequel We Love Katamari top the list.

The next group that springs to mind is the classic Dreamcast game Jet Grind Radio and it's X-Box sequel Jet Set Radio Future. Both feature stellar graphics and strangely exciting gameplay, and some killer tracks that fit the colourful future punk-ish setting.

Another series that comes to mind is the Pikmen series with which I've had limited experience, but was a fan of what I did get to play. Very original and strange.

I'd throw the original Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil as well, as they were both amazing games that helped to propel both series into the mainstream, as well as being poorly translated. I recall the infamous "master of unlocking" line in Resident Evil as a great example.

Others to consider, the original Toejam and Earl, Vectorman, Stubbs the Zombie and Blinx the Time Sweeper, among others.

Does anyone have any others they would like to contribute, both from the past and present?

Space Station Silicon Valley on the Nintendo 64 produced by DMA designs, better known as Rockstar-North.

You play a robot who as blasted out of his suit when he and his buddy crashed landed on a space station that you were sent to investigate. In order to play the game you must kill animals and take over their robotic bodies, and along the way you must get your body back. Its an amazing game.

Rez. The game is absolutely delicious. Check youtube for videos, it is something that cannot be explained by mundane words, it must be seen.
