How many of these folks are ACTUALLY celebrities?

Some of them were very well known at one point but many wouldn't know who they are at this point. I knew who Shar was because I used to watch Moesha when it was on back in the 90s(i'm not sure alot of people had access to the channel it was showed on)and remember her from the Good Burger movie so many years ago now. Nicole I knew because I loved Charles In Charge which hasn't been on in years and years and years now. Most would know her from Baywatch but I liked her better on Charles in Charge. I think she was in a movie with Corey Haim as well. Bobby Brown was obviously a pretty big celeb back in the day, not to mention being tied to Whitney Houston. Sebastion I think was considered a pretty well known back in the 80s.

Those people I would consider real celebs, only not at this time. They were real celebs at some point. By todays standards I guess the girl from highschool musical, the chick from bad girls club, and K-Fed would be more well known because they are what you see now, whether you consider them celebrity or not.

I don't think you will find many "real" celebrities (ones that are currently real celebs) doing this show at this point., because they have movie projects and actual tv shows they can work on. That is kind of the sad thing about this show..it's not for most about losing the weight, it's about getting their face out there.

In my opinion only Bobby & Sebastian are celebrities. They're the only ones who had a successful music careers.
They sold platinum selling albums. Although they're washed up now, I'm sure they still make money off their royalties.

The rest aren't big actors, but they had small roles Ex: Baywatch(Nicole), Moesha(Shar) and High-School Musical(Kaycee)

Some are from Reality- Tv. Ex: Jay & Tanisha

And we already know how K-Fed came to be known.

I think nowadays once you've been on Tv, you're called a "celebrity". I mean look at 'Speidi'

Bobby Brown and Sebastian Bach were HUGE (no pun intended) celebrities back in the late 80's/early 90's.

definitely more celebs this season! I immediately knew who most everyone was: of course bobby brown, sebastian bach (used to have such a crush on him!!), and k-fed. i knew shar jackson mostly from the tabloids and britney/k-fed drama, which is kinda too bad but i still knew who she was. tanisha i knew mostly from "the soup" making fun of "bad girls" lol but oh well it counts! i knew who she was.

i literally gave out a squeal when i saw jay!! i love love love LOVE jay!! im a PR addict, and season one will always be my fav mostly cuz i love jay.

the only ones that i needed the description to know how they were famous is nicole and god bless it i cant remember HSM girl's name...oops. usually in a season i need it explained on at least half the "celebrities" lol im excited about this line up!!

There are too many mediocre things in life to deal with. Love shouldn't be one of them.
