Tired of Shar's self-pitying

I'm starting not to feel sorry for her anymore. It could be the editing, but this show is really making her look pathetic. I know how hurt she must've been when Kev left her pregnant, but I dont see how she plans to move on if she keeps feeling sorry for herself. What was done, is done.
At first I didn't think she wanted him back, but with the way she's so open about her issues with him, I really do think she wants him back. If they get back together, that's the only way people will start changing what they think about her.

And I'm also starting to think she came on this show just for that sole purpose. She barely talks about her weight journey.

Anyway, agree or disagree. That's just my opinion...

reply

Agree 100%. I don't think its just the editing. She talks about him non-stop. She really needs to make more of an attempt to move on.

reply

Yeah..she needs to think 'bout what's ahead for her instead of dwelling on the
what's left behind,JMO!!!

reply

I know it's probably hard for her, but she's talking like it happened yesterday, when it's been 5 years.
But I'm also assuming her scars lasted longer, cause she does have kids with him and she will forever be tied to him, till her kids get older.

But what's bothering me, is that she never seems to be annoyed when they ask her questions about it.
That's why I'm starting to rethink if she's really there to lose weight. Or if she's more interested trying to get sympathy from viewers.

reply

Maybe for the sympathy,IMO!!!

How was she humiliated? Because she was broken up with? EVERYONE gets broken up with, and if you choose a career in entertainment you accept the negative aspects of fame along with the positive aspects, one of the negative aspects being people will know about your personal life.

I never even heard Shar's name before this show. I had vaguely heard that Kevin had a girl before Britney, but saying she was humiliated is a bit of a stretch. Late night shows always made jokes about Kevin or Britney, I never once heard them mention Shar's name.

reply

I think the situation was especially humiliating b/c she was pregnant when Kevin dumped her for Britney. (Although I'm hardly an expert on the Shar/Kevin/Britney drama; that's how I understand it.)

Either way, I agree that she needs to mentally move on. She seems like a cool girl otherwise.

reply

I didnt say she was pathetic. I said the show is portraying her like that, while they constantly show her talking about her issues with Kevin.
How many people decided to watch Celeb fit club, just to hear about Kevin and Shar's issues? I doubt a lot.

I came to watch a show about people wanting to lose weight. It was all fine and dandy before and even I sympathized with her, but I'm getting sick of hearing about those two. But I also said the editing is probably making it seem like that. But whatever it is, it's getting repetitive and annoying.

And yeah, I am starting to think she is there for sympathy. That was just my opinion.
When her breakup happened, she never got to tell her side of the story, so now that she's on the show she's trying to squeeze all her info while she has her 15 minutes. She already got Nicole weeping for her and feeling sorry.

reply

I knew people would slowly start to see past her "I'm over him" facade and realize that deep down inside she probably wants Kevin back.

I think the more she talks about him the more she's gonna stay stuck in that K-fed's baby mama image.

I knew who she was from Good Burger because my daughter watched that movie a thousand times. Let's face it though, there are many out there that wouldn't know who she was at all without the Kevin thing. I guess she doesn't live by Bobby's "bad publicity is better than no publicity" outlook.

Yeah, well all the Shar fans before her incident will always know who she was before the break-up.
I'll always remember her as "Niecey" from Moesha. Not everyone is blinded by her breakup.

Even if she did say that in her interview, she's still not as reserved about their issues as Kevin is.
I'm sure editing does play a role. But when it comes down to it, Kevin rarely discusses it. Whereas Shar loves talking about it, placing herself in the victim role.

So even if they are editing, Shar still talks about it more. Therefore, giving them more footage to air.
Kevin....not so much. If she shuts UP up about it, they would have nothing to show

reply

Seems that Shar likes to talk 'bout the past, which at times can be a bad sign
of trouble IMO!!!!

Maybe because that's exactly what she is?

The person who was done wrong is ALWAYS going to be more affected than the person who committed the wrongdoing. To use an extreme example, a rape victim is going to be more affected by being raped than her rapist will be affected by raping her.

If you are reading this, you have just lost The Game.

It has to be the editing.

But even after the first few weeks, she was barely talking about him. It was that something, some way, kept bringing it back up again. For example, the videos from their families (including Kevin's girlfriend), and also when they received those articles from the tabloids about them.

You can't really blame her for it. It was the tabloids that kept bringing it up.

She even said it herself. She wants to be known as an actress (Moesha), not as Kevin's baby mama.

reply

i think she went there for both reasons. but yeah her self pitying makes me hate her even more. i wish she would just go away

you're totatlly les-bi-gay
