I'm impressed...

i watched this movie today at my aunt's house, now first off i have to say, i am a british born Indian, so i have grown up watching hollywood and i am now getting into that field myself

Over the years 90% of Indian movies have been nothing but 3 bad hours filled with misplaced songs, crappy choreographed action sequences and the typical love/family drama story line.

2 movies to this day that have changed my mind about Bollywood, Koi Mil Gaya & Krrish!

Krrish, while it still has it's typical Indian elements impressed me as far as visuals went, same as Koi Mil gaya, the story was good, twists are good too, nothing special but good none the less

This is the way Bollywood should be going, if we lose the songs, even better,

i have only 6 Indian movies in my dvd collection

Shaheed Udham Singh
Shaheed Bhagat Singh
Rang De Basanti
Lagaan
Koi Mil Gaya
Krrish

i hope one day that i can expand on that, anyways krrish was a brilliant movie and exceeded my expectations as far as bollywood movies are concerned!

Yeah, Hindi films have really improved in quality, in all aspects of filmmaking. Krrish is just the tip of the ice berg, watch out for Love Story 2050 at the end of the year, it has 4 international VFX studis working on it, including two Oscar winners WETA(LOTR, King Kong) and John Cox. They have designed two robotic characters for the film and created Mumbai of 2050. The film features time-travel.

In 2008, we will also see a few fantasy films from Bollywood, Drona and Aladin, both expected to boast of Hollywood-level special effects. Bollywood has officially arrived into 21st century fillmaking.

By the way, we should keep the songs. Only, they should only be used when necessary: a la Lagaan.

I don't know what the hell you guys are talkign about, but this movie shows everything that is wrong with Indian cinema. From its campyness, unorigianialty, bad acting, stupid and childish story, moronic twists, and the dumb continutity idea from Koi Mil Gaya, this might be the worst movie EVER MADE. Buddy, if you are going into the bollywood industry...don't like this movie....hate the hell outta it so better movies may come along.

tell me something avengers93, what other movies have there been out of bollywood that showed some creativity other than ending up in switzerland every 20 minutes in fancy dresses singing about pyaar?

no i think i prefer to stick with krrish and koi mil gaya because this shows progression, okay sure it was not on the level of the matrix or batman, but hell for an indian movie it impressed me

explain to me why this is the worst movie ever made?

Ya india has improved a lot technically in action and vfx.

You should watch DHOOM, DON and DHOOM 2 too which have some very well done sfx.

Wait for LOVE STORY 2050 at the end of the year in which the sfx has been done by WETA and John Cox.

In 2008-2009 you should be looking forward to

TASHAN (action movie)
DRONA (superhero movie)
JOKER (superhero movie)
KRRISH 2
ROBOT (some futuristic sci fi movie based on THX 1138)
DON 2
DHOOM 3
