before i start thrashing this movie, let me say that it was at least a step in the water for Indian Fantasy movies.

Nevertheless, this movie still sucks bigtime.

1.) Too *beep* corny. Did you see that mask? i mean, WTF.

2.) Too long. Take the opening scene for example. It took way 2 long to establish that Krishna got his powers from his dad, who got it from jadoo and whatever.

3.) speaking of that opening scene..remember that IQ test. WTF is with that? Thats not an IQ test. COME ON!!

4.) The special effects were stupid. What the hell is with the skipping? WHO THE *beep* GIVES A *beep* ABOUT A PERSON THAT SKIP? You want speed, then make him run faster.

5.) The songs. This is the thing I hate about films from India. EVERY DAMN MOVIE HAS TO HAVE A *beep* SONG. Yes, sometimes it can be done very well. (Lagaan). But other times, they don't need it. Every movie should be made on its own. I mean, if the movie is made better with songs, then my all means, USE IT. But if it isn't, they don't use it. This movie isn't made better by songs.

6.)no creativity. Where the originality in this movie? The female lead just happens to be a reporter. COME ON!!.

I could go on, but this movie isn't worth it.

1. What the hell does "U r the one or ur imaginaries" mean? Doesn't make sense man.

2. Catwoman was a blockbuster. It sucked.

Alright, way to be a dooshbag. Apparently, you're like an ABCD or just plain American. You have to adjust to Bollywood movies if you don't want to hate them. Don't act like you made the movie and can criticize it. Every Bollywood movie has songs idiot. Just sit back and accept everything in life. They made the movie interesting. They did not have to have precise IQ tests or anything. So, if you think you can make a better Krrish, then that's cool. But, if yours sucks (meaning Krrish is better than yours), then you will be laughed upon by me. Don't hate Indians.

The songs are what makes Bollywood what it is. They are part of the movies. Get used to it or just don't watch. Nobody's making you.

1. the mask is a broken circus mask, if u see the movie, as for the design, its pretty cool, no worse than batman and not as cheesy as robin or green arrow.

2. opening scene?? its known as binding with the previous film, and it wasnt too long, heck superman (78) had a much longer opening than that, establishing clark. it was 15 minutes or so.

3. if a 5 yr old can say those questions its knows as intelliegnce, hence IQ
not all IQ questions are about maths you know, its can be general knowledge and political questions too.

4. SFX was on par with smallville, not so bad, and u have to remmeber this movies has a budget of 10.2 million, and superman returns is 250 million+

5. bollywood is made of songs, we use songs differently from hollywood, be it a culture thing, but thats the way it is

6. well were is the originality in superheros? hercules was one of the first, rest all is copied aint it??
many marvel and DC chars are similar powers, so????? as long as it is entertaining, who cares?

Well you people don't understand movies. at all. I don't care if a movie is from Bollywood, Hollywood, Russia, France, or England. Songs are supposed to help the movie. These didn't.

The opening scene was stupid long. and that was not an IQ test. An IQ test measures how fast your brain can take and solve puzzles. NO IQ TEST HAS QUESTIONS ABOUT POLITICS ROHONNAG

The SFX sucked ass. Listen, you don't use SFX when you don't have to. Using the wires for Skipping was dumb. And if this movie is so successful as you idiots are saying, they should have a buget over 10 million. nevertheless, the skipping was stupid. A superhero with a skipping power. AWESOME!!!!

Please people, compare this movies to all movies. That what i hate about Indians (I'm one..relax). They compare bollywood movies to bollywood movies. When I look at a movie, I compare it to every movie i've ever seen. Compare this movie to Superman (1970's one) and it sucks. Compare this to Gigli and Son of the Mask and still sucks.

Plus the whole continuity from Koi Mil Gaya was stupid. From what I remember, Rohit never had Powers, he just got his brain fixed. I never saw any skipping in that movie.

LMAO. I guess I should how to learn how to eat poop 2. I watch movies for what there are in front of me. I have been watching Bollywood movies, Europeon, Hollywood, German, Swedish, and Oriential movies side by side for all my life. I grade movies if they are good or not. This movie wasn't good by any means. You're letting your bias cloud your judgement.

good on ya avengers93 ...my sentiments exactly! i think making the sequel to koi mil gaya was completely unnecessary. i laughed so hard when i saw the mask...it was hillarious :D

you say the fx work was on a par with smallville and go on about how it "only" had a budget of 10.2 million, well that doesnt matter. watch daywatch!! see how good the vfx are in that movie and the whole flick cost 4.2 million!!!

bollywood is bollywood, it is an acquired taste, but it doesnt stand up next to the production values of western or indeed other eastern film industries. (i.e. china , japan, korea)

hey,

after reading the extremely entertaining original comment and all the replies after it, i had to stick my oar in... (yeah, i know it's june '07, i just rented the movie)
i actually really enjoyed the movie, partly because although i do watch movies from all over the world, i tend not to compare bollywood with hollywood, or china, or euro, or anything else... i just can't, it's too different. (of course, having seen the previous conversation, i hasten to add that you can compare to whatever you like)

i rented the movie out of curiosity to see what bollywood would do with HK rope-work, i've never seen it used before in indian movies and it was really good. having chinese fight choreographers really made a difference. but of course you cannot compare it to crouching tiger, just because they use ropes. and it wasn't skipping!! it was unrealistically long strides...used exactly the same way in crouching tiger, actually.

i have to say the fight scenes in this movie were MUCH, MUCH better than those in Don, where they blatanly filched a bunch of moves from Tony Jaa in Ong Bak. suddenly shah rukh is a muay thai genius, 5 minutes before the end of the movie.

bolly and holly are on completely different sides of the movie scene, and to me, it's pointless to compare them. i mean, could you really compare DDLJ to, i don't know, sleepless in seattle?

and for the record, dhoom 2 did suck. mostly because of aishwarya and her HORRIBLE, horrible overuse of the word "like".
for that, she must die. or at least get a cream pie in her face next time she's all dressed up and in public.

I liked the movie, wasnt koi mil gaya but was looking at a different crowd. I liked the mask, it was different, something most masks arent, and sghay is totally right about the leaping, its an old asian film trick and looks great, if they cant fly they leap. I must admit i liked Dhoom 2 cos i switched my brain off and had fun, and hrithik is awesome. You cant compare movies from different countries very often because they all have different values when making them and personally i like the songs in bollywood films, adds an originality that western films lost ages ago. If your gonna critique look for some good things along with the bad and vice versa but not all one way.
