Where's the beef(cake)?

The leading man has a glorious, body-builder's physique -- as seen early in the movie when he's bare-chested in a locker-room scene -- but when he's being tortured with electric shocks to his torso, the director has him keep his shirt on. What gives? Wouldn't it have been better to show our hero taking electric shocks directly to his bare nipples?

I was disapointed. It's obvoius they should torture him shirtlessly - he was all wet from sweat, he's a muscular tough guy, and IT WAS A TORTURE SCENE IN A CHEAP ACTION FLICK! More interesting is the fact the interrogation scene was planned to be shot differently, and Boeving's character was set to be tortured longer... with naked chest, in tribute to Rambo 2 torture scene. (wikipedia) So bad, Boeving's so hot...

I contacted Christian Boeving via his e-mail address. He said he doesn't recall filming any version of this scene shirtless. He says his shirt was left on in order to match up with his later escape scenes in which a shirt was worn. (I still say this was a wasted opportunity.)

Match up? The effect would be much better if he spend all the screen time without shirt... And I still want to believe there was an alternate edit of the infamous scene. Besides "Eagles" and "Rambo 2", you know any others torture scenes with hunky musclegods in films?

It's still too little for such an amazing body. It's also pity he have only one action movie in his filmography...
