the reason why this film only got 6 stars

you people can't handle Tragedy. You don't have a clue what tragedy really means.. You're terrified of your own lives.. so you take it out on somebody else. Unknowning... unfeeling.

I personally like this movie. I think it could have been done better, but it does have a great, addictive quality that makes me want to watch it over and over again, despite its flaws. I may even go so far as to say that I love it.

That being the case...I think it's out of line to point your finger so heatedly at people simply because they don't have the same opinion of a film that you have.

And tragedy can manifest itself in many different ways, and touch different people. A person may feel nothing for teenaged lovers who commit suicide, but weep bitterly at a mother making a sacrifice for her child. One person may find the starvation of the masses tragic...another, the self-destructive excesses of the rich. I suppose this is the very definition of tragedy in the classical sense: An 'aristocratic' character brought down by fate, and a fatal flaw. But I don't think tragedy need be defined strictly according to those terms.

There a quite a few movies out there that are much, much darker than this film that received higher ratings, simply because they were well done movies. You are so dramatic, calm down.
