He started treating her like crap after she met and was photographed with Billy, and ti's because Warhol was jealous -- it wasn't a sexual/romantic jealousy, but he was jealous because suddenly someone else was present in her world. Every account of the friendship between AW and ES indicates that they had an immeasurably deep and all-encompassing connection -- sort of a non-romantic version of "they only had eyes for each other." So it was painful to AW when ES started to become intrigued with someone else.
